the first dirty harry film where the bad guys don't really cut the mustard. it plays more like a routine actioner than anything tense or too re-watchable, but makes up for it with the most interesting sidekick yet in tyne daly

I used to have such a crush on Tyne Daly. I remember seeing this on TV in the 80's and crying at the end. 'Why did he have to shoot Lacey?', oh dear, it?s all coming back now...
