All said and done I liked this movie. Eastwood delivers again as Harry Callahan, but perhapse some of his dialouge should've been cut. I'm use to him being the man of few words. The case wasn't as satisfying as some of the others in the series and the ending failed to be climactic. Worth the watch for Eastwood fans though.

Not the best Dirty Harry flick but still a favourite of mine. Yes that is really Tyne Daly as his partner.

Once again, Harry Callahan returns in yet another explosive sequel... one that is somewhat alright but not too bad.

Callahan's latest baddies - a group of bad guys holding San Francisco ransom. Yes, they have a lot of arsenal of weapons but Harry only has his .44 Magnum to deal with these guys.

It was also a gender issue time that Harry never believes a woman cop can live up to his expectations until one does.

It's yet another shoot 'em up style with Clint Eastwood doing what he does best.

Jesus, Harry's got some luck. Everywhere he goes, a burglary is happening. What are the odds?

There's really nothing new covered in this third installment of the Dirty Harry franchise. I mean, in the first one, we saw Harry take the law into his own hands and thank God he did. That Scorpio killer scared the pants off of us and took a bus full of kids hostage. Part two showed us what lines Harry draws in the sand. We know that he's a cop who's above the law, but is not a vigilante or a murderer. There's limits. So that was the apology and the rounding out that the first movie didn't offer us. But what did part three offer us?

This is the last of the 70's movies and I think that I'm pretty happy that the series took a small sabbatical before coming back for Sudden Impact in the 80's. Harry's the kind of cop who deals with psycho killers and murderers, not terrorists. This one has the whole feminism theme going on with the movie and balancing that against domestic terrorist plots is just a little awkward. While there's nothing really wrong with this film, it doesn't really cover any new ground and any of Harry's rebellious attitute just seems forced in an attempt to be somewhat shocking to mainstream America.

Now, I'm pretty focused on women's rights and find that I'm a pretty open individual. But in some ways, I gotta respect Harry's opinion in this movie. (Wait, don't turn on me yet!) Now, this situation presented in the movie is a catch-22. There really is no right answer. The problem that I have is that Harry's partner has had no time in the field and has made no arrests whatsoever. Harry's killed so many people he's lost count. Really, do you want to team these people up? The catch-22 comes from the fact that the reason that his partner has no arrests because no one ever gave her a chance because of her gender. Yes, I know that there's a bit of hardassed preachiness going into this movie, but it's a weird line that this movie tried to address and, like I said earlier, it's just tacked on.

What I'm most shocked about is the fact that terrorists try taking over San Francisco and there's no crazy panic. I'm used to watching movies in a post 9/11 world, but this seems like it would be a huge deal. I mean, people were losing their cool at the Scorpio Killer. What about when an entire organization steals bazookas? I think I'd be crapping myself about that sooner than I would an individual killer. (Although, I would be terrified of the Zodiac if I was alive too...)

I think that this might be the hardest of the movie to review. I guess The Enforcer summarizes what I think about the entire Dirty Harry franchise. It's a damned good franchise and is fairly entertaining, but there's little that it is going to offer me in the long run. I watched this movie last week and I'm already forgetting parts of the movie. That's pretty sad. Again, I can't say that I was crazy disappointed, but there's nothing to this movie to get me to recommend it to others.

Dirty Harry vs. Terrorist Hippies. Things start to slip in this third installment with Harry getting a female partner (played by Tyne Daly).
Things started to go stale with this one I'm afraid, though Eastwood still is Dirty Harry. Harry's partner gets killed leads to revenge, leads to the mayor being kidnapped, leads to stuff blowing up. A descent flick, but not up to the standards of the first two.

A fine addition to the Dirty Harry saga. Clint Eastwood once again dominated the screen, and it once again worked out really well.

Part three in the Dirty Harry series sees Harry (Clint Eastwood) who is teamed with a female partner (Tyne Daly) go after a group of terrorists who have kidnapped the mayor and threaten to hold the city of San Francisco ransom!

Nowhere near as good as the original movie but still possibly the next best serious effort in the series.

uninspired, stereotypical cop action movie. entertaining in places, but it's just not classic Dirty Harry. lowbrow suspense, over-extended chase sequences, static characters...nothing fresh or original, even by 1976 standards.

The third picture featuring Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry. Clint Eastwood resumes his role as Police Inspector Harry Callahan; Tyne Daly plays the role of Inspector Kate Moore and Harry Guadino as Lt Al Bressler. Harry gets into one of his usual predicaments when his is relegated to Personnel to help interview patrol officers on the list to make inspector. While filling his duties in personnel he learns that there are eight openings for inspector and three of those eight will be filled by woman. A group of people who call themselves the People's Revolutionary Strike Force (PRSF), led by Bobby Maxwell, are making plans to go on a crime spree all over the city of San Francisco. When Dirty Harry's longtime partner is killed by the PRSF during a major weapons theft, Dirty Harry vows revenge and, surprisingly, is given some support by his superiors. Harry has one problem, he's given a new partner and it's non other then a lady inspector. After the Mayor of San Francisco is taken its up to Harry and his new partner are expecting to find him. All and all I give this movie 8 weasel stars

Another great entry into the "Dirty Harry" film series, the 3rd. Clint Eastwood really shows his acting abillities in all his films, epsecially this film. Tyne Daly is super as Harry Callahan's partner Kate Moore.

Dirty Harry meets Lacey (from "Cagney & Lacey") A violent movie, with knife-stabbings, bullets and bazooka-blasts taking turn to extinguish people. This was one movie mentioned when voices were raised about censorship. I saw this for the first time when I was about..10?, but it sure hasn't made Me violent. (bwahhahhaa...)

This film...Had me rolling round on the floor laughing. It's got tonnes of cliche's which I found ridiculously funny such as (loosely) "You destroyed that shop Callaghan! I'm pullin' you offa the streets!" and even better: "You can stick your commendation!", "What does that mean?", "It means you can stick it in yer ass!". It's comedy gold. The rest of the film was okay I guess, save the acting performances which weren't so good, especially the death scenes. I'd recommend it purely for the one liners.
