  An explosive, smart, funny and furiously entertaining action-packed thrill-ride that is just too much fun to handle. A great action flick that has lots to offer and is great to watch again. It`s not as dark as the other films and know how to enjoy itself.

  Clint Eastwood returns as Inspector "Dirty" Harry Callahan in the third of five films concerning the exploits of this supremely macho cop. This time around Harry is partnered up (much to his chagrin) with a determined, yet inexperienced female partner named Officer Kate Moore, played by Tyne Daly. Their mission: to stop a radical left wing terrorist organization bent on raising Hell throughout San Francisco, The group is primarily modeled after the Symbionese Liberation Army, with perhaps a dash of the Black Panthers thrown in for good measure. This isn't a bad film, as it has some good lines and humor, some decent action, and a little bit of effort to continue the series's trend of making a police drama with socio-cultural/political subtexts. This time around however, the subtext is pretty lacking, and I blame the script, which comes off as not really uninspired, but mainly just lazy. Also, it doesn't help that the idea of having Harry team up with a woman comes off as more novel, and isn't taken as seriously as it should. This results in some lighthearted moments, which aren't bad on a basic level, but end up coming off as a bit silly. So yeah, the film has some problems, but it's still really enjoyable, fairly rousing, and decent enough. The players do their best with the material they're given, and I've got to give Daly some credit for doing her best to hold her own against such an icon playing an equally iconic character. The series has definitely settled into a nice comfortable groove by this point, but even if it is losing a bit of steam, there's still some decent camera work, a fairly fine musical score, and some good action scenes to keep things moving along nicely.

  In this third installment of the franchise, Callahan is partnered with a female cop, much to his annoyance. This movie may be considered a little light-hearted in comparison with other Dirty Harry movies,mainly due to the comic tension between Harry and his new partner. (Let me repeat, the term "light-hearted" to be taken only in context with other Harry movies). Beside that tiny pinch of comic relief, everything else pretty much follows the same routine as the previous movies. Eastwood's charisma alone carries the day.

  Terrific third entry in the Dirty Harry franchis follows Harry Callahan on the trail of a group of radical terrorists terrorizing San Francisco. Usually by the third entry in a franchise things start to slow down. This isn't the case The Enforcer is yet another pulse pounding action film. The plot of the film seems at times overdone, but it still works do to the fact that the film is packed the action that everyone has come to expect from a Dirty Harry film. As one fellow reviewer pointed out, the plot is silly, and I agree. In a way, this is what makes the film so much fun, it's level of silliness. One cop against a team of terrorists. The Enforcer should deliver enough to please the most diehard fans of the series, and it does. Even with the fact that it navigates familiar ground, what do you really expect from a Dirty Harry film? This third entry is a good idea for a story, and Harry Callahan briefly has a partner, fellow cop Kate Moore played by actress Tyne Daly. The thing that I love about this series is that despite it somewhat simple plot ideas for films, the films themselves are very entertaining and action packed. I enjoyed The Enforcer and I thought it was like every other film in the series, action packed, fun and thrilling. With Dirty Harry and his monster 44 Magnum you know that the bad guys never do last long. Fans of the first two will thoroughly enjoy this third entry. But to be fair I personally thought it was a step down from Magnum Force, but it does deliver the thrills the coolest one liners and terrific action. A solid third entry in this series. Thought this one is very good it's follow up, Sudden Impact is an improvement as it it's a more serious film. The Enforcer had an implausible plot, but what saved it was the traditional elements that make a Dirty Harry film worth watching. A must for the fans.

  I found this film at a slight disappointment compared to the first two dirty harry films. It is still a solid film with decent action but the story felt short and uninteresting.

  the dirty harry series is just so consistent. part of that might be because the stripped down elements of each film are essentially the same, but the films are just so entertaining, well paced, and tightly edited. they arent among the great cop films of all time as their reputation would lead one to believe, but they are all very good and fun to watch on a chill evening. this one has a few elements of silliness, but overall is a very worthwhile classic cop action flick.

I think that most of the subplots in the film actually would've made for better stories, but it was interesting to see nonetheless.

Not the best Dirty Harry (from what I remember, it was my least favorite of them - I'll know better once I purchase them all), but still great!

Things started to go stale with this one I'm afraid, though Eastwood still is Dirty Harry. Harry's partner gets killed leads to revenge, leads to the mayor being kidnapped, leads to stuff blowing up. A descent flick, but not up to the standards of the first two.

Clint Eastwood resumes his role as Police Inspector Harry Callahan; Tyne Daly plays the role of Inspector Kate Moore and Harry Guadino as Lt Al Bressler. Harry gets into one of his usual predicaments when his is relegated to Personnel to help interview patrol officers on the list to make inspector. While filling his duties in personnel he learns that there are eight openings for inspector and three of those eight will be filled by woman. A group of people who call themselves the People's Revolutionary Strike Force (PRSF), led by Bobby Maxwell, are making plans to go on a crime spree all over the city of San Francisco. When Dirty Harry's longtime partner is killed by the PRSF during a major weapons theft, Dirty Harry vows revenge and, surprisingly, is given some support by his superiors. Harry has one problem, he's given a new partner and it's non other then a lady inspector. After the Mayor of San Francisco is taken its up to Harry and his new partner are expecting to find him. All and all I give this movie 8 weasel stars

  And now to: "The Enforcer" Harry's Back for more mystery and action. He's now up against a group of terroists who kidnap the mayor of San Fransisco, Alongside him is a female assistant who together try and get more answers on this capture. This has to be my least favourite of the series, its not as engaging or explosive as the previous two. I do find Tyne Daly's Female cop a pretty strong character though, I also think its a low point on Eastwood's career. I really liked the begining with the car smash and the conflict with Harry and the Chief. You may want to give this a try if you've gotten into the franchise a little more.

  An enjoyable and action-packed third installment of the "Dirty Harry" franchise nicely directed by James Fargo in his directorial debut. Inspector "Dirty" Harry Callahan, Clint Eastwood in another solid performance is up against a murderous militant terrorist group called the People's Revolutionary Strike Force who have made off with cache of stolen military weapons from a warehouse and threaten to terrorize the city of San Francisco if the ransom of 2 million dollars is not payed. Harry goes undercover to to find the terrorists, only problem is he is saddled with a new inexperience female partner named Kate Moore, wonderfully played by Tyne Daly who turns in a sassy and sympathetic performance, her chemistry with Eastwood is right on target, his amusing chauvinistic dialog with her using his trademark sarcasm is priceless. Excellent supporting performances by John Mitchum, Harry Guardino, Brandford Dillman, John Crawford, DeVeren Bookwalter and Albert Popwell. Superlative action sequences, shootouts, chases and a suspenseful climactic showdown on Alcatraz island where Harry and Kate try to rescue the kidnapped mayor. An enormously entertaining crime thriller! Highly Recommended.

  In this 3rd Dirty Harry movie, Harry is up against a nutty religious terrorist group that kidnap the mayor. He's teamed with a woman cop (Tyne Daly) who he thinks can't handle the job. This one is more like the first and much better than the 2nd movie. In Magnum Force, Harry was a little of a softy and had time for romance with an unimportant character. That movie lost focus often. This film never stops moving forward though. It's much shorter than Magnum Force but that works for the film. Since it's never really boring and doesn't drag out like Magnum Force did.
