typical Bronson vehicle...violent, cliches abound aplenty..but for the Bronson fan,,this movie entertains and the viewer, knowing what to expect going in, won't be disappointed..
An 80's trash thriller through and through that typifies Bronson's later career.
Bronson doesn't even try to act in this and his delivery of the painfully awful dialogue makes it quite a fun watch. Put that together with an awful supporting cast with one of the worst bad guys I have seen in a long long time(this dude is on a par with Charlie in the acting stakes).
The way that the story is told is pretty facile and doesn't make a great deal of sense, the motivations behind these characters is never explored leaving you in the dark.
The thing is though, all of these flaws make it a fun watch and it's got a retro appeal that helpe to balance it out.

Charles Bronson in one of what became his trademark terrible films. Why demean himself like this. It's not as though he's a bad actor because he isn't. He just can't pick a script by this point in his career.
Dour, unpleasant thriller typical of its star. He fights for justice and kills hoards of bads without so much of a flicker of expression across his face of stone. The ending is truly nightmarish.
A Bronson vechile that I had put off for quite some time thinking it was not one of his stronger outtings (even from a fan's perspective). I was pretty right on about it too even though there is a fair amount of nastiness here w/ THE MAN going after a 'Dr Butcher' type. Unfortunely The Machanic this isn't & the vile tone established early doesn't sustain due to trying to mix the standard Bronson formulas & suspected censorshipment. Really for those who must see everything Charles Bronson has ever done (like me)
Bronson is hired to take out the trash, this time being a doctor who specializes in torture and interogation. Bronson in this film specializes in squeezing people's nutsack until they die. Guess who wins.
Good thriller of a retired hitman lured from his idyllic island home to rub out some nasties. Charles Bronson worked with director J. Lee Thompson in several action-thriller movies from the late 1970s to late 1980s.
