i liked this movie and its sequel. i didnt think i would like them but it turned out i did. i liked how they kept most of the same star wars ideals and scenes such as the costumes, backgrounds locations, etc. the ewoks were my favorite part of return of the jedi and for them to be in their own mini series was very cool. the little girl was perfect and her acting ability was very very good. warwick davis plays wicket the ewok most know him from his role in willow or as the leprechaun in the horror films, he is a very under appreciated actor and is one of the best. the only thing i wish they would have told a time in which these movies took place compared to the original star wars movies. i think they should have made more star wars side series movies like this one, they always turn out good.
i have both of these movies, & am glad about it... exept for the discovery today that im gunna hafta get them on dvd instead & get a restored version of it. i watched them today & obviously forgot just how old they look. here/there it gets hard to know what theyre saying. the ewoks are so adorable & i just luv wicket!!
This is the first in the Ewok movies(I think there were only two).
In this one Sindal and her brother, Mace, and their family have crashed on 'the moon of Endor'. Sindal and her brother get lost and are found by the Ewoks, and they have an interesting adventure.
This is one from the childhood. I was always a big fan of the Ewoks and I enjoyed both of the movies that were made for tv back in the day. This was the one I liked the most as it was fun and it was even a little scary near the end. I never really saw it as a Star Wars movie so there was never a comparison in my mind. It's a fun adventure and thats all it was meant to be.
when you see the word 'Ewok' you automatically assume that it would be very much like the star wars trilogy, how wrong you are. The story itself is based around two youngsters who can't be more then 7 yrs old taking on full grown adults to acquire a power source for their ship so that they can escape the planet
Hahahaha. This is BAD. Saw this probably 6 years ago now.... I was curious, leave me alone. But yeah, I needn't review this--it's little more than a silly made-for-TV children's movie. Cheap and ridiculous. And why capitalize on the second most annoying character in the Star Wars universe? Behind Jar Jar of course, the freakin' Ewoks are the worst. Ergh. Absurdity abounds here. Good though for a laugh or to waste your hour and a half. Don't expect to find any truly redeeming qualities here though.
i hate this one!!! yes .. i hated it!!! i espent two hours watching some cuddle cute animals doing absolutely nothijng. Dont misunderstood me . i love them but on stars wars. sorry .. for me they arent cool enough to have their own film
I would like to see this film but if I ever find a copy I will be sure to have a several bears handy and a group of friends to watch it in the style of Mystery Science Theatre.
Ha. Wow, this is a classic. That that great of a movie or anything, but that's partially because it's in the shadow of the first 3 Star Wars films. This film is essentially the residue left from the Star Wars hype, aimed towards a younger audience (not too young mind you). Star Wars fans have to watch it though (even though they probably won't like it).
Poor cousin tries to ride in the success of the Star Wars saga, but more like a fantasy flick than the usual space opera one expects. Although the ewoks are not as annoying as Jar Jar Binks, they get a lot closer in this one.
Wow! Is this ever a load of crap! I remembered this from my youth as being a pretty good made for TV Star Wars epic. Oh, how my memory deceived me! This just sucks!
