Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"A roughly-assembled, mean movie: flashes of solid genre filmmaking keep it from being a wash, but it's really not much fun at all."
‑ Tim Brayton, Antagony & Ecstasy
"Strike three, you're out. A stinker that should have been postponed because of inept filmmaking."
‑ Bob Bloom, Journal and Courier (Lafayette, IN)
"Mesmerizing film about the soul-killing dimensions of perfectionism."
‑ Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat, Spirituality and Practice
"A film with lots of great ideas yet none of them come to fruition."
‑ Ryan Cracknell, Movie Views
"More ugly and depressing than haunting or suspenseful."
‑ Rob Gonsalves, eFilmCritic.com
"An entertaining piece of work, if not the most original."
‑ Michael Dequina, TheMovieReport.com
"This slick, extremely gripping thriller is three-quarters an excellent movie that only falls apart during a tense but ultimately ridiculous finale."
‑ Chuck O'Leary, Fantastica Daily
"A Home run for the thriller genre.. De Niro, in top form"
‑ Clint Morris, Moviehole
