  I have to say I expected much more from David R. Ellis as I thought the second Final Destination was really good. The writing is lazy, the acting is crap, the characters were unlikable and totally forgettable and the special effects, which is why people watch the film in the first place, are terrible. They forgot about the build up, the tension, the idea of death stalking you - a clever and original premise, now it's just like watching a snuff video which isn't very pleasant in the slightest. Time to finish the franchise, I know there is a fifth but I'm not sure I'm that interested anymore.

  I have watched all the final destinations except the first one! Damn. But I'd say the second one is better than this. First time I found a movie like this (sequel looks better than the beginning one).

  Some of the worst CGI I have ever seen. Considering this film was made in 2009, there should be no excuse! There is nothing new here as far as the script goes, just the same ol same (everyone dies in a certain order). ZZZZZZ goodnight.

  Well, you can't blame them for trying. In it's defense, I did rewind a couple of the death sequences. It's a formula that can't fail those that know what to expect. Unlike the first installment, the characters really have no life before they are killed, making this even emptier. In fact, two of the characters have a sub-credit of Racist and MILF, which pretty much somes them up. I expect the deaths to be big, but I was surprised at the tacky CGI. Probably to improve the 3D gimmick. The 3D is used to create a premonition for EVERY death. The first movie had subtle hints you had to look for. Now it's just all detailed, which makes none of the deaths surprising. Once again, it ups the bodycount. This means each death gets less of a build up, making them fast and cheap. Same as before.

  Although the others were pretty bad, this was awful. It was supposed to be the final one so it should have topped all the others. As usual the acting was bad and unfortunately they came up with nothing new plot-wise. Waste of time.

  This series has really hit it's lowest point. They are now trying to do whatever they can to base the movie solely on the deaths at hand and not even care about making a new way to tell the story. I watched this film, turned my brain off, had a lot of fun, but never really cared who lived or died. The only thing truly great about this film was the 3D experience and how it made you feel like you were part of the death. There is not much positive about this film, but as always, I did manage to have quite a bit of fun watching it.

  How many times have they not recycled the same premise now? And apparently even a 5th movie is on its way. I guess one the reasons I still watch them is because I can relate somewhat to their basic concept. I don't claim myself to be a psychic or anything, but there have been times in my life - altough very rarely so - where I've had brief glimpses of the future that have later come true in the same way in which I've seen them. Most people believe such things are just fiction, and I can understand why they would, but as someone who have had first-hand experience of that and other supernatural phenomenons, I know with certainty that there's more to the world than can be explained by science. Anyway, before I stray off subject here, this is a decent horror-thriller of the same substance - or perhaps I should say lack thereof - as the previous installments. Worth a rent, despite some really bland acting and an underwhelming script.

If you're not tired of the series by now, it still offers what you want. I thought it was about as good as the first two, but not quite as good as the third. There, easiest review I've ever written. I suppose I can be a little more detailed than that. The main difference in this entry and the others is the addition of 3D, which might have made the movie more fun in theater, but will add absolutely nothing to the experience if you watch it in 2D, like I did. The premise is exactly the same as before, with a group of people (probably the most bland and least likable characters we've had so far) avoiding death in a massive accident (this time at a raceway) because of a premonition, and then being killed off by "Death" in gruesome, improbable ways, one by one. Some of the kills are admittedly lame, but the later ones are much more inventive (I'll never look at a car wash the same way), again. So yeah, just like the other movies, but with different kills. If that sounds agreeable, see it. Oh, and Shantel VanSanten is HOT. I'd love to see her in some more movies, and it's not because of her acting ability.

  I have to say I do enjoy these Final Destination movies, and even though I enjoyed this one it is starting to get tiresome. The death scenes are really well set up and keep you on edge, despite some lackluster CGI... it's still pretty bloody and graphic. But nothing new or surprising has been added plot wise and the acting was very stale. It's pretty much been made to show-off some 3D thrills and make a bunch of money off it while it's all the rage.

  Same story, (mostly) different deaths. While I enjoy the elaborate Rube Goldberg-esque death sequences, there is little else of interst in these films and they seem ok with that.

The acting is abysmal, and the movie only seems to exist to show us gory, graphic, and sometimes hilarious death scenes.

  If you've seen one, you've seen them all. There's no surprises, nothing changes, except maybe the way the people die. It's inevitable that everyone dies at the end. It's predictable, with unlikable characters and a cheesy plot. This movie is not worth seeing.

  this is far from being a great movie. it doesnt have a great story or great character developement which is normal for a horror movie. i did have fun watching this and it has lots of gore and is really violent so for fans of the series i recommend this movie. B

  The graphics for the original Nintendo Mario Brothers are better than the crappy CGI in this movie. Been there, done that...the deaths are getting old, unoriginal, and the story is just a replica of the previous entries in the series. So it's safe to say I saw this movie 7 years ago (starting with my last favorite one in the series, part 2) , 50 times, and made my review already. Why not? Why not say that? Isn't this movie pretty much the exact same as the other Destinations? Yup. And if you disagree, please don't be so quick to judge. Sit down and watch all the Final Destinations in a row and you'll see what I'm talking about. What's funny too is, as repetitive as the series is getting, although following the same exact premise, one thing it's doing differently is getting worse and worse, cheesier and cheesier. Lots of slashers can get away with being overly repetitive because their stories are suitable enough for a stretch of 25 long years of wicked entertainment given their outlined simplicities. There's not much to them so why bother adding things only making it more complicated and cluttered. But Final Destination is a story that carries lots of potential baggage, much opened space is needed to be filled and many questions unanswered. There's no need for it to be repeated over and over again. You can do so much with a story of this kind, so why the hell isn't anything being done with it. It's not a simple piece of material, with one serial killer, a hacksaw, and ten big breasted female victims. Final Destination could have been the next Elm Street of horror series, but nothing new is being done with it. Part 5 needs to go beyond what we've been offered already, step up to the plate, and show something more fresh and new. With a story like this, sky's the limit. You can do many things with Death and the supernatural. Think about it. You don't always have to show someone being killed off by flying tires or escalators. You can show the history of things. The who, the what, the when and why, and also (while still keeping it bloody) create an obstacle for Death this time around. It seems the victims never stand a chance from the jump. Spice things up, add more mystery and fool the audience, while still dropping their jaw to the most graphic of demise. Now that would be something different.
