Exceptionaly awesome special effects! Great martial arts movie, very respectable!
First time ever, Jackie Chan and Jet Li together in this movie. The story and fight scenes are great. Two thumbs up.
Had some pretty cool fight sequences. It was entertaining for the most part. Wasn't a big fan of the Karate Kid element of the plot, but besides that I liked it. Ending was kinda predictable, but most these days are anyway, so can't really hold that against it.
No one told me this was a Karate Kid movie... Five stars for Jackie and Jet, one for the rest of the movie...
It was surprisingly better than I expected. We watched it like 3 times lol! Hong Kong Phooey! Spanking Monkey! You'd get that if you have watched the movie lol
Excellent Chinese movie with Jackie Chan, jet Li and the lovely new Chinese actress; Liu Yi Fei A great artial arts production. covering old to modern times about the monkey King
The kids (and the kids in us adults) should love this fantasy adventure film. It's Karate Kid, Monkey and The Dark Crystal all rolled into one. Thoroughly enjoyable and recommended. On top of that, us geeks are treated to a battle between Jackie Chan and Jet Li, o the Gods have s...( read more)
overall this story is about Sun Go Kong. Its Funny and also really dramatical..
A teenage boy gets sent back to the past to return a stick to the Monkey King who has been frozen in stone for many, many years.
It's basically a kid's movie where Jackie Chan and Jet Li fight. The fight scenes in it are good although, both have better in different movies and th...( read more)
One for the Kung-fu fans only I would suspect. Good special effects however. Curiosity value for me alone and certainly wouldn't bother to rehire it.
I only watched it for Jackie Chan and Jet Li. that white guy...r u serious???? What was up with that!!!!!!! Jet Li acting like a monkey...uhhh a new side of him I've never seen. Personally the white guy brought down my liking this movie.
I sorta felt like I was watching a play the whole time with this terrible acting. The special effects are kind of cool but overall, this is a movie made for money with no purpose. "The Forbidden Kingdom" follows the story of a young boy who finds a sacred staff and gets teleporte...( read more)
the first time i saw this film i was disappointed, the second time i saw it i fell in love with it. the film is beautiful, with amazing scenery, great cinematography, and fun characters. i was initially disappointed in the silliness of the film, but for some reason i embraced t...( read more)
The trailer looked awesome, so I was really disappointed when I finally saw the film. It just wasn't that good.
un poco eagerada en cuanto a artes marciales, pero pasa, para verla cuando estes aburrido y no sepas que ver.

the only thing that makes this movie interesting are the actors. the storyline is too cliche
I'm a huge fan of martial arts flicks. Anything from Hero to Shaolin Soccer to 3 Ninjas to Ninja Scroll - they are all right up my alley. Add my love of these kinds of movies to the fact that The Forbidden Kingdom has both Jackie Chan and Jet Li, and it should be one of my favor...( read more)
"He who speaks, does not know. He who knows, does not speak. Surely you're masterful."
"The Forbidden Kingdom" brings together three talented martial arts legends. Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Yuen Woo-Ping, the action choreographer.
I've always liked both Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Th...( read more)
This is a pretty good movie i thought. The young guy looks so familiar though but i can't remember where he is from. lol.
Hollow, looks quite nice, very bad acting, cool fight scenes, stupid use of English language, Jackie Chan sucked but Jet Li sucked much much harder by trying to convince people of his monkey expressions. Stupid and entertaining.
Combining a '70s martial arts flick with '80s kids' fantasy, this is thoroughly entertaining, and the face-off between the awesome Jackie Chan and Jet Li was worth the price of admission alone.
Not even the two leading asian actor in the world of present time can save a bad script, thin storyline and host of other problem of the film. The choice of the lead actor was commenable enough, but the jackie chan and jet li were clearly not in their elements. Frankly, I was exp...( read more)
It's about time these two starred in a film together! Yeah, so the story is kinda cheesy (okay, epicly cheesy!), and it takes itself far to seriously at times, but that's not the point! Your watching it for the enjoyment factor, in which it delivers in spades.
Okay, so now for...( read more)
It was a pretty decent movie. Really sad that Sparrow died in the end but really glad that she was there when he got back to his world.
