I have to admit I'm a bit biased as Heath was in it and his acting was amazing. The desert was spectacular as well, but otherwise, there were bits that weren't quite believable.

Good movie. I've seen it more than once, but I'll never get bored with it. Heath Ledger is amazing as always. Wes Bentley is also very good.

the new adaption of this movie is in my opinion the best a feel that it shows all point of views very well and very distinct but are all still so fluid together

It's not so bad, I just thought they thought more about the scenery and photography that they left the dialogue for later. I hated the end it was horrible, Kate Hudson was so fake! I hated her in this movie but there are some chartacters that were very good. Heath Ledger he appeared gortious in this movie so it is quite sad but he did a good job not excellent just good. I liked the friendship between them, they were very fun and they show to you the good chemistry they have between them and that's why you understand at the end why he took the decision of risking his life for the ones of his friends. I dindn't loved it but I can't tell I hated it becauseit is not true it is just another movie about the human souls very similar to Seven Years In the Tibet.

A fairly interesting film in that, one really never k nows to what extent friendship goes.. As well, one of the films featuring the late Heath Ledger..

Yet another of Heath Ledger's films I can mark off my list. This however was by far one of the most disappointing and I can't help but feel that I am slightly overrating it due to my feelings towards his wasted talents. I wouldn't ever say it was terrible it just never really sparked any real feeling in me. Ledger's performance is average at most and the setting of the film didn't really interest me, I couldn't feel sorry for the British Soldiers because of what they were fighting for. I think that although Ledger's character pulls out of going to war, he doesn't do it for reason which may have worked slightly better. I think that the film might have worked slightly better had he pulled out because he felt it was wrong. But I suppose that is a personal opinion of might so it really shouldn't be taken into consideration too much when deciding if you want to watch this film. The rest of the cast did a fairly good job. He isn't mentioned in the cast list but I have to mention Kris Marshall because I think he's brilliant. He's usually associated with more comic roles so it was great to see him do something slightly more serious and he was a pleasure to watch. Kate Hudson rather annoyed me in this film. Can't put my finger on exactly why but her character just didn't really do anything for me. Still, even with it's flaws it is still a good film and definatly worth checking out if only to see Ledger.

One of the most overrated movies I've ever seen. Sure there is some great scenery and an ok story but it sucks. Don't let the movie convince you it doesn't suck because thats what all things that suck try to do.

This is a british comb of "Pearl Harbour" and "Cast Away"... The four feathers is a symbol of cowardice. Harry is a brave in his spirit (saving friends) but not patriatically brave. He only fights when necessary.

    Excellent movie
An exquisite film about a man who resigns his post before a war and is shunned with white feathers of cowardice. He escapes to Sudan to live incognito.
Heath Ledger played his role the best, really the best. Peace upon him

I just can't believe he's gone... so talented... it kills me to know that we'll never be able to see him again. Anyway, the movie is great, and Heath was AMAZING, as always.

The premise of this film is great. It only takes ONE mistake to be judge for life. It does not matter what one has done for years, because people tend to forget that. People concentrate in one's mistakes, which is a shame of course. A story of redemption through the eyes and agony of the one who feels it.

Captivating but underwhelming, the film is not a classic but an above-average contemporary attempt at telling an epic story.

such an amazing movie! heath ledger's best performance to date. i liked how the director put the whole story together, from the scenes of red-coated officers swirling their ladies around the dance floor to the marches, battles, and prison scenes...very well done.

Hudson spoiled all the fun here.Could have been more careful with the female casting. However the two male leads were pretty good.

Worth the time for this updated remake, all the more remarkable due to the recent overdose death of it's main Star....

It might seem a little boring at the beginning, like pretty much every movie based on history facts, but if you keep on watching, it will be a delightful surprise.
