MCT:September 14, 2008Krabbe is more than satisfying and on one of his great appearances (Hollywood movement never made good to all 3 famous Dutchmen),amorous and impotent,the protagonist's style matches the film's sinister advance to....hell!!Literally yes but the meanings and visions are what makes Verhoeven drive our minds insane.And then he directed a couple of films until..Basic Instinct came..and the impending doom.Honestly,did he really need to leave Holland?

An intriguing thriller, 'The Fourth Man' will keep you guessing throughout the whole movie. Paul Verhoeven serves up his traditional blend of sex, violence and nudity while exploring the mysteries of identity. Though slow at times, it is still a decent watch, particularly if you are interested in Paul Verhoeven's work.
