Giving this one the benefit of the doubt -- I saw it once, in the theatre when it was first release and can remember very little about it. Two stars is probably being kind.

Creepy for kids. You may laugh at it when you grow up (like me) but it definitely works for the young viewer. Avoid the sequel, though.

Excellent underrated supernatural Canadian horror cult fave! Stephen Dorff makes his debut before he was in Blade as he plays a young boy with his best friend who discover that a hole in their backyard is a gate to hell but they must shut it before it's too late.
