"The Gathering" is a slow-paced but interesting horror thriller with Christina Ricci in the lead. Here she plays a girl named Cassie that gets hit by a car and loses her memory. The woman that hit her with the car offers Cassie a place to stay until she gets her memory back. But Cassie starts having weird and horrifying illusions, but what does it all mean? Like I said there is not much action going on in the movie, but the build-up is pretty good and together with the always fantastic Christina Ricci "The Gathering" is a thriller worth seeing.
Pretty cool. I especially liked the concept here, since it's something I've not yet seen from a theological thriller. Not particularly scary, but intriguing for sure. Check this one out if you've got some time to kill.

(o mirones, en el peor de los casos) de la crucifixión de Cristo.
La manufactura de The Gathering es de telefilme. Pero la extraña belleza de Christina Ricci representará una fuerte presencia en la película, en contraste con la desabrida actuación de Ioan Gruffud (antes de ser Lancelot en King Arthur, y Reed Richards en ?Fantastic 4?). En general, casi todo el reparto acaba desvanecido a causa de la débil historia, que incluso roza el humor involuntario. very original movie about a group of people who show up just to witness tragic events and that's what I'm looking for. plot and setting are good but hopefully the actors knows how to portray the character.
Super original! I'd never seen anything like this film before! Very controversial and definitely well-developed despite the dificulty there is to follow it. The acting was good, though it felt a little too dramatic which is like the only flaw I found. Christina Ricci is always a treat to watch nonetheless and Ioan Gruffudd is a very good actor and also sexy!

All I can say is that this movie is freaking confusing. Until the middle. U really don't care much about the characters. The story is a little like "Da Vinci Code" meets "Children of the Corn" or something. And really didn't care for it that. Good try Christina Ricci but this probably the worst movie I've seen of yours so far. But it could of been worse. Oh yeah and theres the ending...didn't care for it either.
The movie started off well... but it lost it's flavor. I understand 'the gathering' part of it (of course after it was explained) but I'm lost to the fact of why the man wanted to kill the little boy. If anyone has insight into this please let me know.
I gave this movie to my best friend for christmas, it was a moviebox with ten horror movies and this one was included. I havent been able to watch it beacuse there are alot of many movies coming up now so we just skipp this one. But the time has come for me to see it ;)
Entertaining occult thriller, though not what I'd call a horror movie, per say. Hey, at least there's an awful lot of Christina's boobs-always a good thing.
This is a bit far fetched and when you see the ending, you kinda wished that they`d gone in another direction with this. Not one to rent, more one to watch when there`s nothing else to watch.
