A jerk guy gets the girl of his dreams kind of movie. Very typical with the twist from A Christmas Carol. The only great part of this movie was Emma Stone. Love her.

Matthew McConaughey is hot, and Jennifer Garner is beautiful. This we know. Being a fan of both of them, I had to check this movie out. Knowing what I was probably in store for, a cheesy somewhat amusing, oh so predictable chick flick.
Meet Connor Mead. A pretentious, self lovi...( read more)ng, successful photographer, who fancies himself a modern day Don Juan. Love them and leave them, before they get attached, or there is any chance for you to get hurt. We all know the type.
Surprise Surprise... Connor is really a softy who is afraid to get his heart broken, by the one girl he pines for. ( Like we all didn't see that coming when the opening credits started to roll... ) And of course, he saves the day in the end, when his brothers wedding looks like a no go. All that was missing was a white horse and some cheesy fanfare.
The parts of Uncle Wayne ( played by Micheal Douglas ) and Allison Vandermeeth ( played by Emma Stone ) , made this movie for me, if I could forget for a minute that oh yeah, I have seen that done a billion times before in A Christmas Carol and it's million and three revamps. I love Emma Stone. She looked very cute and at home in her 80s nerdy girl get up. She had some great one liners, that made me smile.
I would have loved to see more of Anne Archer in this one. She still looks as great as she did back in the days of Falcon Crest. Lacey Chabert had some funny moments, but I will always see her as Claudia from Party Of Five. I also love Breckin Meyer, have since Clueless. But, he just isn't as good in a roll where he's not all that funny. He should go back to what he knows best.
If you go in knowing what to expect from Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past - a semi entertaining very predicable, laced with melted Cheddar chick flick, then you won't be disappointed. It beats watching the late Billy Mays sell something on late night TV or another damn Michael Jackson life story...

I am not to crazy about Matthew or Jennifer, but this was kind of cute. This has been made a few times over but it still kept me entertained enough to sit through the whole thing. Same old story, guy loves girl, she breaks his heart, he turns into a jerk...blah blah blah. This is...( read more) one of those where you have to make up your own mind...

Ok, we all know the plot line of "A Christmas Carol" right? We've seen it done a million different ways, so there's no surprises here.

And we all know the type of movies Mathew McConaughey stars in, right? Another role where he romances a girl based on his good looks.

And...( read more) we all know the story of the douche bag guy who realizes the error of his ways and gets the girl in the end, right?

Ok, so now you know everything that's going to happen in this movie.

Very predictable and it ends up very cheesy towards the close. Matthew McConaughey plays a real womanizing dick in this movie, and it got really old after a while. There were so many stereotypes in this movie.

There were two ladies sitting behind me and in one scene they laughed and said, "That's a typical guy." Of course the scene involved the guy befriending a girl for the sole purpose of bedding her. And of course that's the stereotype we get stuck with, even though it's not always true.

Michael Douglas was a bright spot in this movie, he's always enjoyable to watch.

The sexual content got really old. Not meaning that it offended me, but I get tired of just constant conversation of how he's going to get a girl in bed.

And what's up with the EXTRA horny bridesmaids? Do people really go to weddings for the sole purpose of getting laid?

Skip this movie, you've seen it before.

I watched it and i couldn't really remember the full movie (Well i was drunk while watching at friend's place), but i do remember i laughed at few parts. The story is basically crap! I mean why waste time, money, production, etc for this? If it's at least sweet or enjoyabel i wou...( read more)ldn't rant, it's not. Matthew McConaughey is like the worst actor out there, if people have Ben Affleck in their worst actor, than he is in my list. Jennifer Garner should be drunk like me, when she decide to play in the movie ;) her character was nothing special, flat boring. I do enjoy Emma Stone or Michael Doughlas though.

    5/10.
