May 16, 2007In countries like the US, where this film is being made (go Hollywood, CA) the book is called The Golden Compass, I first read it back in like 7th grade, so I'm happy a movie is being made. And I don't want to be disappointed over this movie, so I refuse to read the book again before it comes out. Eragon let me down horribly.

April 6, 2007In reply to someone asking about it not being called "Northern Lights". In some countries (such as Canada), the book was released as "The Golden Compass". In others it was released as "Northern Lights". I hope that clears things up.

April 5, 2007yeah same here and i hope it will do better since it is a three part book series. I read all the books and i do too that it will stay close to the book. I may have to pick up the book up again and see whatgs going before it comes out. As for the actors in it. I like Daniel Craig. He did a good job in the Untouchables and some other films ive seen him in.
