I don't really know what to say about this film; it was fascinating for about ten minutes. I couldn't believe this guy really had a dancing, kilt-wearing squirrel. It's a real squirrel that they dressed up, and then through a series of what looks like stop-motion trickery, he app...( read more)ears to be dancing. I only hope they didn't hurt this or these poor squirrel(s). I thought it would be animated or something, but they have real trained squirrel footage. It's kind of bizarre. The owner of the Great Rupert cannot pay his rent because no one will come to see the super-sentient Scottish squirrel he has. The squirrel is released into the park in a tear-jerking scene, but later returns to the apartment to help the new tenants rather than live with those other uncivilized squirrels (they dinna know they're nekkid, lassie!). He can understand these people need money, and gets it for them (read: steals it from the landlord!). It "snows" down upon them from the rafters where the squirrel lives because it's Christmas, I think... Jeez. I don't know if he eventually turns water into wine or whatever, because it got really old and I didn't finish watching it once Jimmy Durante and the boring tenants took over. I can't believe I wrote this much about this movie. If Rupert had been so great, he would have run from this movie studio and bought a nut farm.
