I didn't like this movie much. The Passion of the Christ was much more spiritual and it touched my heart more deeply than this movie.
Well Its Great, although it makes Jesus look like a somber man. If you get the chance watch a movie called MATTHEW from Visual Bible. BEST
I did like Sydow's portrayal of Jesus. Not as good as Jim Cavaziel's Passsion of the Christ depiction, but still very good. The random cameos were really silly.
A Really Great film, and i believe it to be the greatest story ever told. It's an older film, but it's one of the better ones i've seen of it's kind to date.
very long, like should be a new word for long, how long it is, kinda like longeresting
If this is the greatest story ever told, then where are the swordfights, the Italian villages, the unexplored ice caves, the spaceships, and Helena Bunham Carter?
Max von Sydow makes a forlorn and wimpy wimpy Jesus in this Bible epic without end. KING OF KINGS did it MUUUUUCH BETTER.

Excellent clasical story of a remarkable work & life of Jesus Christ on film.
Ponderous, boring retelling. Sometimes religious material so intimidates filmakers that the final product lacks any energy. This is beautifully filmed, and Sydow is excellent, but it just plods along.
