This looks like its going to be an awesome movie...... Plot: A paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity.
i'm starting to see a pattern in most of his films of this genre, and the trailers always seem to outdo the film, with one or two exceptions. but id like to see this nonetheless, shyamalan is interesting : )
I'm going out on a limb here and want to see this movie. I am hoping it don't ave the trademark meloncoly characters of M. Night Shyamalan's usual movies.
I don't care what anybody says, this one's sure to be as much a work of genius as all Shyamalan's other films. Just because some people don't understand them doesn't mean they're not good. This is sure to be no exception and I can't wait.
M. Night misses the mark again.. not sure why? I saw an early cut if this picture.
Mark Wahlberg plays a man who takes his family on the run when the world turns upside and a cataclysmic natural crisis threatens to end the world.
Maybe M. Night Shyamalan is the ultimate one-trick pony? Does this director have more than good movie in him? It doesn?t seem to be. Since he splashed onto the scene back in 1999 with Sixth Sense he foisted up the world agoraphobic aliens invading a planet consisting mostly of water (Signs) and one of the most predictable "surprise" endings ever (The Village). The less said about Lady in the Water, the better. We live in hope as the director?s output does have its occasional moments of brilliance and maybe he?ll live up to the promise of Sixth Sense one day ? or has he simply used up all his good ideas?
The Happening isn't happening, and I can only imagine all the head line puns from reviewers when this is released later this year.
i completely take back anything positive i said about this film so far....the new trailer is GODAWFUL. oh my god. if it's any indication of the quality of this film, then it's going to be one for the ages folks....one that we remember for a long time, on the imdb bottom 100, right next to gigli and plan 9 and manos.....wow. i cannot believe how awful it looks. and mark wahlberg, dude....when did you stop knowing how to act?
this is the movie that i really waiting for this year...but ketika liat tagline-nya "We've Sensed It. We've Seen The Signs. Now... It's Happening.", gw agak khawatir mr.syamalans kurang kreatif, soalnya hampir mirip-mirip dengan "signs"
Seeing the trailer, I can tell this is going to be one of M. Night's more violent movies. I'm thrilled and can't wait. I'm also glad this doesn't seem to be about killer plants like the rumors had me thinking.
For the first time ever, I think this Shyamalan movie is going to be a let down. A Great Cast, But the preview looked weak. I'll see it anyways cause its a M. Night film but I have something to ask, everyone is going crazy killing themselfs and such but how come the main characters dont kill themself?? Hmmm?
Shyamalan's approach to natural crisises and the kind of threats humanity faces and will face in a few years. One of my most antecipated films of 2008.
I love M. Night Shyamalan! Most of his critics don't get the essence of his films.. true they are not like everyone else's... in fact, I think they are often better because he is actually telling a story... sometimes a story is just a story.
