Steve "Uncle Creepy" Barton, Dread Central
After watching this film, the only emotion I'm left with is confusion.

Felix Vasquez Jr., Cinema Crazed
[Zombie] ain't Tobe Hooper and this most definitely proves he ain't Ralph Bakshi. Better luck next time, Rob...
-
Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloid
It has all the failings of today's least inspired cartoons.

Bill Gibron, DVDTalk.com
...the anarchic animated freakout that Ralph Bakshi has been trying to make for the last 40 years.

A movie animated by John Kricfalusi... wait its not the creator of Ren and Stimpy who animated this? Oh its a cheap rip off of his and Tex Avery's animation style with gags that are old hack. I'm glad I was able to stream it for free.

All the voices were great, I loved Paul Giamatti and Rosario Dawson as a bickering couple. I have to say that Sheri Moon Zombie was my favorite part, she was priceless.

I wanted to like this more than I did, but it's another example of the fact that I'm growing up. It seems I have my limits to how much depravity I can withstand in a certain time period, and with El Superbeasto that time limit was about 25 minutes. While I really liked the animation, the homages, and the cameos, the non-stop (and I do mean non stop) vulgarity/violence/nudity/sex/etc. just wore down my interest in the film in about a half an hour, causing me to have to view it over the course of three nights.
There is much to enjoy here, including the gleefully self aware levels of depravity, and I imagine many will have a better time with it than I had.

Honestly if it weren't for Zombie's name attached to this I probably wouldnt have bothered since it looked like just another Adult Swim-style wannabe. After watching it it appears to be more of a Ralph Bakshi-style wannabe with alot of little nods to various iconic horror films.

Easily a cult favourite. It's got singing, dancing, horror, comedy, nudity and swearing; everything you need to create a movie that entertains. Shouldn't have been a direct to video film, it's really great.

I don't know what possessed me to watch this film, but Rosario Dawson is a gem! I knew this movie was gonna be ten kinds of crazy and I wasn't left disappointed. This is clearly a guy's movie: overt sex, profanity, violence, etc. Apparently, El Superbeasto is this luchador baby that was adopted by a family in the barrio and he grows up to be a "super hero" (and by super hero, I mean a dog in an endless search for cat). He finally sets his sights on an epic stripper named Velvet Von Black (played by Rosario Dawson) and goes on a quest to save her from a villain named Dr. Satan who needs to marry her in order to become super powerful and rule the world. LOTS of dirty humor, sexual content, violence, profanity and hilarity ensue.
Hands down, Rosario Dawn's Velvet von Black character was the best part about this film. I didn't know she was so funny!! I looked forward to every scene with her because she always had something outlandish to say. I quote her now! If you're into crass toilet humor and not-at-all subtle sexual content, go for it. But you've been waaaaaarned!

Came across this by accident and admit I watched it through as it was fairly amusing ultratrashy entertainment. R-rated cartoonery has gone the way of Ralph Bakshi and Heavy Metal, bygone-era animations that took a grittier approach whereas El Superbeasto retains the light tone of Saturday morning. Somehow this mashup of perverted silliness sort of works, in no small part because of the great voice contributions including serious acting talent like Paul Giamatti. Some funny lines, visuals, and good-natured smuttiness to be found if that's your cup o' hooch. Far better than any of Zombie's live-action exercises in ugliness.

Mental animated film by Rob Zombie based on his comics. This follows the strange, messed up adventures of El Superbeasto and his super sexy sidekick as they battle nazi zombies and other stuff in this baffling but funny, low brow type horror comedy thing!
