The film starts off really well with Banner trying to lead a normal life. Seeing him in a relationship is quite moving and as he gets closer to curing his disease everything is looking up. Unfortunately this is a case of attempting to start another franchise, this time that of Th...( read more)or. Thor isn't really a bad character, he's simply too comical and out of place in a Hulk film. The mythical story is also a far stretch from that of Banners own story. Again it falls victim to the TV shows formula but has enough entertaining moments for the normal Hulk fan.

I think the best thing about the Hulk tv series was always Bill Bixby's performance as Bruce Banner. When ever he turnt into the Hulk, that's when things got bad. He turns into a green Lou Ferrigno who just flexes and looks angry. Then they'd have shots of him running in slow mot...( read more)ion "so that's where they got the idea for Bay Watch". The fighting was also silly and cheesey.

Although this made for tv movie was made a few years after the show was canceled ,not much improved. The effects are as bad as anything from the Superboy 80's tv series. While Eric Allen Kramer (American Wedding) looks the part of Thor his goofiness also makes it hard to take the movie seriously. Bixby however is in good form once again and almost makes it watchable.

Behold- the Incredible Hulk, and his fun-loving, beer-swilling sidekick, the Mighty Thor!

Huh... the villain is Barry Allen's brother Jay from the pilot of the Flash T.V. show. Who'da thunk it?
