"Don't make me hungry, you wouldn't like me when I'm hungry."

Compared to the 2003 adaption, this was a masterpiece. My opinion might be biased because I think Ed Norton is a genius, love 'im, but I'm still not sure I would of chosen him for this role. It's not great but I li...( read more)ked it well enough, the storyline, acting, flow and action scenes were so much better than the 2003 version, never takes itself too seriously either. Don't know if Tim Roth was right for Emil Blonsky, maybe that's just me. Tony Stark at the end tehehe

A very nice action film from Marvel. Well acted and the story flows well. The CGI was not realistic, but that may have been exactly what the director intended. Robert Downey Jr appearing at the very end wets the appetite for much more....

A much better version than the one from Ang Lee. Norton and Roth are on good form and Leterrier does not over do the action. Loved the cameo at the end by Mr Downey Jr. I can't wait for them all to be in the same film! Best scene - Tim Roth hitting a tree, that gotta to hurt!

I initially thought The Incredible Hulk was a slight notch below Ang Lee's 2003 version of Hulk, but the more I see it (at my 2 year-old daughter's insistence) the more I like it. That aside, this movie is much better than I was expecting considering the guy who directed The Incr...( read more)edible Hulk directed Transporter 2. Edward Norton was a definite upgrade from Eric Bana and Liv Tyler and William Hurt's performances get better with each viewing. The Incredible Hulk isn't as cerebral as Ang Lee's Hulk (which I didn't mind with the exception of about 20 minutes toward the end that needed to be hedged off) and was definitely inferior in some ways (script mostly, but I liked how they just jumped into the story as opposed to a 45-minute buildup here) but surpassed Lee's version in others. Namely with a superior-looking Hulk and some fight scenes that had me yelling at the screen. After a second viewing Tyler and Hurt weren't as bad as I had originally thought and the acting is definitely one of the high points. That last act is definitely the weak link (acting aside) but the more I watch it the more apparent this movie's flaws become.

"Is that it? Is that all you've got?"

I didn't find this movie to be any better than the previous one. Then again, I'm one of the very, very few people who likes Ang Lee's "comic book" movie. Incredible tries so hard to be different from 2003's Hulk, </...( read more)i> showing that it's bigger and badder with loud explosions and faster paced, cartoonish action scenes. But all the noise and spectacle in the world can't overcome the weak flaw of a mindless script.

A fiercely fun blockbuster which effectively brings the big green guy back to his 70s & 80s comic book (and television) roots, combining aesthetics from the two brilliantly as well as making its own mark -- divorcing itself from Ang Lee's 2003 Universal Monsters-style take -- to ...( read more)kick off a new cinematic life for the character. Louis Leterrier keeps the action fast and tight -- sure, Hulkie looks all CGI-ed up, but he's expressively done and not as day-glo as the last time around, and you get used to him pretty quick. Thankfully, they give him a voice and some more personality this time, and suddenly he becomes the childlike behemoth we all know and love and grew up with. Norton vindicates his perfect casting by making Banner an equally haunted figure, yet much more wry and charismatic, than Eric Bana's rather flat take. The picture only really falters in Banner and Betty Ross (Liv Tyler)'s romantic moments, which swerve and crash into outright melodrama. Then again, if you go back and read the old comics from the 70s and 80s (and even 90s), the tone ain't far wrong. By treating the character with love and respecting tradition, Leterrier hasn't tried to reinvent the wheel, but, rather, pushes it in the right direction. It's not quite the power package that IRON MAN was, but it's a hell of a lot of fun.
