I love watching both Gere and Willis acting, so that movie was pretty neat ^^. Of course, kind of predictable, but than again, just watching all the cool moves of Willis, the loading of his gun, his self-consciousness, the history of Gere's character, the relationships... makes it great.
brilliant action/thriller gere/poitier & willis are amazing against each other bruce willis makes a very convincing bad guy even if it is still strange seeing him kiss another guy its something mcclane would do
wow what a great movie....this has got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that both richard gere n bruce willis are superb as the 2 lead roles of the movie...i think that the director of this Action & Adventure, Mystery & Suspense, Drama movie had done a really good job of directing this movie because its so full of chills, thrills n spills throughout the movie,.this has got a really good cast of actors/actressess throughout the car chases are amazing as well..this is just so enjoyable throughout n its a whole load of funn

Although, Bruce is a vilain in this movie and he's one of my favorites actors, I didn't like his role. Though he's good whether vilain or hero in movies.
On par with the original in my opinion..Willis and Gere set the stage for this duel. with fine support from Poitier..modernized for todays audiences with music and action..this is one suspenseful thriller...
OK so I ordered a dvd thinking it was this one and instead got the original.... the original doesn't have Jack Black or Bruce Willis.... whyyyyyyyyy???? Now you understand how dumb I am listen closely to my review!!!! I really enjoyed this I mean Willis is awesome, Richard Gere does cool too it's quite exciting and fast paced and i'm sorry but I can't stop laughing when the thing happens with that big gun and I love Jack Black!!!! Look out for it :P
cool movie but contained a lot of stuff that basically ruined it. too much gore and some 'other' stuff. Richard Gere and Bruce Willis are awesome though!
This flick suffers from the one and only flaw from which a thriller cannot recover: it's boring. The climax is especially awful, w/ this supposedly-mastermind assassin doing INCREDIBLY STUPID things, leading to his demise (sorry to spoil it, but I'm saving you the time).
Damn that queer Richard Gere. Such a load of bull. You can't help but root for the bad guy because,well, he's a super pimp in this movie. Nobody wanted Dick to win.
This is the type of movie that I would see over and over again and never get tired of it. Bruce Willis was great in what I think is a gem of a thriller.
to say bruce willis kicks ass is a dramatic understatement. brucie boy is amazing. plus, he fucks up jack black something fierce... but he had to kiss a dude to do it. sigh... oh well.
Totally bad. The film didn?t respect the viewers at all. We were never properly told how the good guys got their information on the bad guys. Also a lot of the 'good' scenes were so obviously set up. Like they had good lines and the acting was good, but there was no reason for the scene or it could have been prevented. OMG and seriously Richard Gere?s character was so bad, firstly the accent was horrible, secondly it?s bullshit that he was allowed to be set free, I?m not too sure why he was in prison but it wasn?t like he was innocent and was in there for fun, he was a convict and should have served out his time.
This fairly standardized globe-trotting action thriller features a monotonous performance by Bruce Willis as the undetectable assassin known only as the 'Jackal' and a somewhat amusingly cast Gere as an IRA inmate who is released temporarily by FBI's Deputy Director (Sidney Poitier) on the condition that he aids the authorities in tracking the 'Jackal' down before somewhere high up gets whacked. What follows isn't particuarly surprising but it manages to hold interest for long enough.
