This movie is beautifully shot and I defy any girl not to watch it and call her mum afterwards.

Being asian, I can relate to alot of this movie, but its a great story and well directed and written.
Decent. I liked the book, but this movie didn't make much of an impression on me.
Interesting storyline.Bit sad how bad these chinese women get treated.Gud ending.Well worth watching.
Laugh, cry, empathize with the woman in this film. Classic. Amy Tan at her best.
Moving, emotional, involving film about different generations of a chinese family - unmissable! watch this!
A collection of amazing stories, it will literally have you crying before you can stop yourself.
This is a difficult film to watch due to some of the extraordinary stories but that only elevates it in excellence.
Wow. I don't know what to say about this movie...it's just a really good movie. It shows how hard it is to be a woman and what we go through. It's a great movie to watch with your Mother-that is if you're a woman yourself!
A very touching film. I loved the relationships between two generations of Chinese women and their different points of view about love, friendships and family.
A movie full of love, hope and wishes from mothers to their daughters. Very touching. I love the way Amy Tan uses the allegories and the way the stories are narrated. Social Work and Literature students will love this.
A funny and touching story of the gap and ultimate bridging between generations.
Ok it's a chick flick, but it's more about the relationship between a daughter & her mother. Also letting us daughters know that our mothers also have a past, scary thought but true. how do you think you got here.
A bit too mushy in places but a cool way of telling lots of sories in one film.
Feel good movie to tell women all over the world that there is nothing too hard when you put your heart & determination to what u will to do ! And I love russell wong and andrew mccarthy ... as well as ming-na wen ...
