loved this movie great story
i loved the movie...there's a lot to learn in these stories...nice link between the daughter-mother relationships.
Mothers and daughters drive each other crazy, then love them and support them like no others. Powerful stories.

I can watch this movie over and over and I still CRY everytime. I can relate to this movie as Asian-American daughter of an Asian immigrant mother. I understand the daughters situation and the stories of the mothers make me understand mine more. But i think any mom and daughter...( read more)

A movie of realization over the generations and strong women. I cried and laughed a lot to this one!

I'm chinese...so I like seeing the drama in my culture. it's a heartwarming movie.
Watching the movie gave a perspective on why there are a lot of overseas chinese in the world, and yes including in the philippines...and the adjustments they have to make that even to the point of breaking tradition.
Watched the movie and read the book in multi-cultural lit senior year. I find the idea a really good one and still remember all the stoies.
