very sad and touching, i very much recommend this movie to anyone.
This movie touches on all types of relationships, and puts them in perspective
A movie of realization over the generations and strong women. I cried and laughed a lot to this one!
I saw this when it first came out and it was unbelievable. You really could sympothis with the characters. Very well done!
This is not the kind of movie i normally like, but, it touched me and was really well writen and filmed
I love the relationships between mothers and daughters (child) The bond between mother and child is so pwerful.
Idk if many people have seen it but it's like the depest movie i've ever seen and it's like Really Sad!
I'm chinese...so I like seeing the drama in my culture. it's a heartwarming movie.
Watching the movie gave a perspective on why there are a lot of overseas chinese in the world, and yes including in the philippines...and the adjustments they have to make that even to the point of breaking tradition.
Watched the movie and read the book in multi-cultural lit senior year. I find the idea a really good one and still remember all the stoies.
Nice moving that provides a great look into the how the women of the 1950s in China blend into American society themselves and with their daughters.
Absolutely amazing, doesn't matter what culture you come from, you'll recognize your own family in this movie.
I never stopped crying watching this movie. I told Tamlyn Tomita that when I met her.
A stirring tale of the powerful strings which reach across generations to bind families together.
I LOVED THE HISTORY OF THE MOTHERS AND IT AFFECTED THE FUTURE OF THEIR DAUGHTERS....
Ming Na is good in this. She really captures the author Amy Tan's perspective.
About time Hollywood took a shot at life as a first-generation Asian American - and this is a sincere attempt.... but there are many more brilliant Asian American writers they could pick from than Amy Tan.
This movie has yet to not make me cry. A very loyal adaptation of a very beautiful book.
Bollocks in 3 parts. I wanted it to end after the first but no...still two more parts of angst ridden asian women, terrible. Wang is better than this drivvel.
