The Junior Defenders i guess would be considered a offbeat comedy that stars Alley Sheedy and Brian O Halloran of Clerks fame. the movie centers around a old long canceled tv show called the junior defenders which was a kids show in the 70's fast forward 25 years later and all the child stars have grown up and most have taken the usual wrong turns untill one crazed fan decides he wants to bring back the show he drives cross country kidnapping all the former actors. Pretty good comedy really worth checking out if you like offbeat comedies by say christopher guest or This is Spinal Tap also worth a watch for fans of O Halloran, Features cameos by John Waters, Kevin Smith and Pauley Shore
