What an ace film! I totally missed it as a child and only got round to seeing it now as a 30 year old adult. I didn't think I'd like it as i only saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off (and few other 80's classics) in the last year or so and wasn't what all the fuss was about. The Karate K...( read more)id is ace and I can't wait to see the next one! Whoo Hoo! (I also now understand 'Wax on, Wax off'!)

an absolute classic. as a young one i must've watched this 20 or so times if not more, and watching it again today has only reinforced my feel for it. ralph macchio didn't really do alot else. i remember him in my cousin vinny with joe pesci but that was just a half decent comedy...( read more). pat morita obviously became associated with one role only as well. i really don't have a cardigan fetish (see my recent review of let's make love) but when elisabeth shue had that cardigan on and... well there were two things i couldn't help but notice! ah ha...it's criminal what i would do to her!! but my libido aside... what an absolute grand piece of cinematic history! i think mr miyagi is a legendary character!

I grew up with this, it influenced my life so much haha thinking I could do Karate, wanting to be the hero at school. Its a kids film with a punch, fantastic stuff and quite violent. It hits all thee right marks, great cast with truely annoying baddies, great fight sequences that...( read more) are quite realistic for a kids film, great kick ass ending, brilliant looking, awesome 80's soundtrack and it actually taught kids real values and morals. Absolutely superb film.

Often has the mickey taken out of it, but an enjoyable fun film about overcoming the odds. A classic!

Had a chance to see this again recently having not watched it since the late 80's. A good film about the triumph of a young kid who's set upon by members of the Cobra karate school. Enter Mr Miyagi who teaches Daniel some karate. It's all set for a showdown at a karate tournament...( read more) between Daniel and the head bad guy.

If you can handle constant whining and outright stupidity, then you'll probably be able to watch this movie without cringing. I, on the other hand, can understand why Daniel kept getting beat up. ;)

A classic 80s movie with a definite feel-good beat. Ralph Macchio's character is likable and relatable; the underdog whom you want to see triumph in the end. There's some pretty amusing lines throughout, plus some memorable characters too. Daniel dressing up as a shower has to be...( read more) one of the funniest scenes!
