with some good actors in, it still manages to be peckinpahs worst movie... that i've seen anyhow. it was just boring with no trademark peckinpah nihilism at all. i could've made this

A fine performance by James Caan is frittered away with a mediocre storyline. Supporting actors Bo Hopkins and Burt Young compliment what litle action there is. At times tense and involving, but as a whole the film feels outdated and bland; the ninja sequences are almost laugh...( read more)

It was an okay watch. Some good names in there, formula movie. It seemed a bit dry, at times. Probably not worth what I paid for it, but, meh lol. Watch it if it comes on TV, I guess

Standard espionage thriller that is saved by Peckinpah's expertise with some decent action scenes and a good pairing of James Caan and Robert Duvall. I would have left out those ninjas though...
