My least favorite of Kubrick's films, but that's not saying much! This movie's still pretty good.
My least favorite of Kubrick's films, but that's not saying much! This movie's still pretty good.
I only caught the last 1/2 hour of this, but what a great piece of noir! Ready to find it on DVD and see the entire thing.
Kubrick entrega esta espectacular obra sobre un robo a un hipódromo. No hay orden cronológico lo cual la hace más interesante.
Typical Stanley Kubrick even though it was probably one of his first movies, it defiantly shows his style developing, nothing works out in a Stanley Kubrick movie
I caught the last 45 minutes the other day, from what i saw this movie is true noir - kubrick style.
Kubrick's first feature with a killer professional cast, first class production values and an ambitious plot that is top notch caper/noir all the way. Long live Marie Windsor and Elijah Cook. The film made Kubrick.
One of the two main influences on Reservoir Dogs. This is Kubrick's third foray into feature film directing, and although a bit aged, is still great today. Very fast-paced for a 50s movie, and, though not as good as Kubrick's later works, well worth a watch.
Tight, tense, brilliantly told crime noir. In terms of the chronology of the story this is a movie way ahead of it's time, obviously inspiring the likes of Tarantino and Reservoir Dogs. Truly excellent early Kubrick.
undeniably among the greatest film-noirs ever, hayden in his best role, kubrick is as always very deep and has the true sense of cinema, all around wonderful acting and script as well, a sure-fire classic
I don't really have anything positive to say about this movie, so I will just leave it at that.
Kubrick doing the noir thing in a completely fresh and compelling fashion. Sterling Haydon is excellent.
Very cool. Non-linear story telling before non-linear became the norm. Tarantino owes pretty much his whole career to movies like this.
Kubrick imitates Hitchcock and he does it perfectly! One of his first movies and also one of his best!
Another Kubrick I really should have seen a long time ago. Brilliantly constructed this has so much going for it, but most of all the immense pleasure in watching the plot establish and unravel.
the greatest robbery ever, it has flowers, horse shoes, silly masks, guns and animal slaughter, what more do you need
What a great film noir, a great heist, brilliant revolutionary story telling skills by Kubrick
I DON"T like Stanley Kubrick movies, maybe I'm not a deep enough thinker, but I can't get into his style of movie.
Great B & W flick. Check it out for the influence on Tarantino's 'Reservoir Dogs' if nothing else.
Kubrick's most overlooked film. i love this film. it is one of the best film noirs i've ever seen.
Man if you see the ending it will KILL you! it really broke my heart.
Really a sweeet movie for the time its been made. Funny & interesting, with some action.
my favorite kubrick....
great movie!!!!very fast paced....my heart beats like there's no tomorrow..
i highly recommend this one
Despite the fact that it was difficult to tell the difference between the leading lady and the leading horse, this movie was excellent. It would cause any intelligent, human being to continually ask "What's going on?" right until the ending. For those simplier viewers, this wou...( read more)
Superb thriller. One of those Kubrick classics that you probably never heard of, but is still one of his best films. Even if Ali talked throughout the first half, then spent the second half asking what was going on. But TRUE movie fans can just tune her out. Multitasking: an...( read more)
