March 22, 2007One of the two main influences on Reservoir Dogs. This is Kubrick's third foray into feature film directing, and although a bit aged, is still great today. Very fast-paced for a 50s movie, and, though not as good as Kubrick's later works, well worth a watch.

January 21, 2007Tight, tense, brilliantly told crime noir. In terms of the chronology of the story this is a movie way ahead of it's time, obviously inspiring the likes of Tarantino and Reservoir Dogs. Truly excellent early Kubrick.
