Reminiscent of Frequency, it?s a made for girls version. Keanu Reeves acting is laughable and at times it?s a little slow but I watched with my bird and we enjoyed it together in a romantic sort of way. Damn, I'm going soft!

another of sandra bullocks newer ones. it's better than premonition. it's slow, even a bit tedious and mostly uneventful until the very end where everything clicks into place. once i'd seen it all the way through i thought it was a good idea. solid but nothing amazing. oh, and i ...( read more)still worship the bullock machine... even with short hair

A couple enter into an unlikely romance as they both inhabit the same house; only two years apart. This is one of those wish fulfillment fantasies that's easy to pick holes in but everyone seems to have a soft spot for; think a romantic version of Frequency. The whole magic mailb...( read more)ox concept is obviously ridiculous, but so is the idea of building a time machine out of a DeLorean. Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are also hardly the greatest acting talents in the world, but this is the kind of romantic fluff that relies far more on the charm and likability of its stars, rather than their ability. Basically if you like THEM, then you'll like THIS. The twist is also pretty obvious, and you know it's all going to have a happy ending because it's just that type of film, but it does have some charm and is one of the few Hollywood feelgood films that didn't result in me being feelsick instead.

An unapologetically cheesy love story that I won't apologise for enjoying, though perhaps my past-self would have enjoyed it more. It follows a simple sci-fi premise of two people striking up a correspondence despite being separated by time, 2 years, if not space, the Lake House....( read more) Thankfully the love story remains the focus of the movie throughout without any other distracting gimmicks other than the central premise, which drives the story really well.

It has a nice twist on your typical romance film because while they might be in love it's not at the right time or place. Both Keanu and Sandra are perfect together, having worked together before, and while we don't really see them on screen together much in the film, their conne...( read more)ction is visible. Its a little slow moving at parts, but the clever twists and turns make up for it, especially the final scenes of the film. Overall fans of romance films will find themselves falling for it.

If you watch the movie in the right mood you could think of it as a sweet romance movie, about getting close to someone whom you may never see but not be able to get them out of your mind.If you are not in the right mood, you'd begin to look for holes in the plot, you'll find it cheesy or another chick flick movie. So, it is up to you.
