Jeff Shannon is pure 100% asshole who RARELY knows a good movie when he sees it! I haven't seen this movie in nearly a decade & a half, but I remember it fondly. Tell me Mr. Shannon exactly where is the misogyny? Where is the hatred for women? WTF are you talking about!?
Someone once shared an opinion with me that they believe that all sports, and in particularly the NFL, is mob connected. The games are fixed, the mvps don't win the trophys, they are chosen by whoever really controls it all & when you think about it, about why they would do that, it really makes sense.
The NFL is probably the single most popular sport in the world in terms of actual money, meaning that there is more money behind the sport than there is for any other sport anywhere in the world. Who wouldn't want to stick their hand into that cookie jar? Especially the ppl that have always tried to, which is organized crime.
