This is a good "dark comedy" with a great cast. Very different, creative idea behind the movie. You may not eat tomatoes again after watching this..LOL
Interesting cast and satire that's filled with cliche college indie style acting with a little dark humor. The characters aren't very believable and lack intelligence (they don't react the way normal human beings react) but I still bought into the silly plot of naive college liberals trying to save the world by retroactively killing those who question the liberal ideology.
The movie puts out the obvious notion that ideological thinking is hypocritical. We all knew that, but still, the movie's fun to watch.
Know one steals the show, but the music is interesting and the ending is slightly unpredictable which in it's tragedy was ironically uplifting.
A fairly accurate and almost honest representation of many liberal ideals in the U.S. today. The ending makes no sense though, and makes the whole plot null. Whatever message the writer was trying to make was lost. The performances are in some cases subdued, in some cases poor, although I did enjoy Bill Paxton's performance (for a change). All I took away from the movie was that many liberals don't know what the hell is going on any more than many conservatives do, all equally being lost and in need of peaceful, rational discourse.
a murderously funny black comedy. if i hadn't seen american psycho i'd have to say this was my fav black one. it's about some leftists... and some rightists they invite to dinner. it's very well written, very well acted and although it ends a lil' quickly for my liking the end isn't too bad. there's some very memorable scenes. it's very seldom i enjoy watching cameron diaz but i gotta say she does act good in a few flicks and this is one of 'em
this was the frist indie film I remember being exposed to. it opened my eyes to a whole new genre of cinema...that and I loved it... it was just wesome...witty...i loved the idea that it explored,a dn the character development.
Dark humor, excellent cast, great sreenplay. This is a memorable "under-rated" movie. Careful with supper...you might be in for a surprise! LOL. Check it out!
A bit eerie and macabre this one, a very interesting and thought-provoking idea for a movie, but it left me a little disappointed. Still worth a look though.
This movie was crazy but I loved the concept. This quickly became one of my favorites. :) Upon reading other Flixster members review's about this movie, I believe that Ramiraff says it best, "An enjoyable liberal revenge blood bath. Except since liberal people have y'know...feelings, they start to get guilty and it all goes to hell once Ron Perelman shows up." 'Nuff said!
its about liberals in america. its about these college students who invite poeple over to talk about politics with them. there are a lot of famous people in this movie. and some people get mad because of the politics. it could be the other way around too. its not really an interesting movie but its a good idea.
I swear I'm the only person in the world who's seen this film. Don't correct me, I am. Soooo clever and witty. A film that perfectly sums up how ridiculous opinions and peoples views are, without taking any political sides. A good idea, done perfectly.
An enjoyable liberal revenge blood bath. Except since liberal people have y'know...feelings, they start to get guilty and it all goes to hell once Ron Perelman shows up.
No action. No huge stunts. This is a character driven movie, very high quality dialogue, well acted. Brilliant twists and turns and not too heavy on the plot. I'm surprised there aren't more people who have seen this.
It is a very intelligent movie - it is about pompus post grad students who after accidently killing an army hero decide to kill stupid people (with stupid political views).
and it asks the question...which really got me and my friend Ben asking the question asked multiple times in the movie...
