1980 made-for-TV PBS show. It is a little slow and lacking in the special effects department, but the story is so strong, it is worth the effort to watch.

The fx aren't great but the story rocks. Best aliens ever. This movie deserves a real remake & not that piece of crap James Caan version that totally misses the point.
