i think ive already mentioned what i think of these movies. great epic movies (which means long and boring at bits with amazing action scenes to make up for it all).
"This movie is a first rate epic that From start to finish, it delivers the essence of Tolkien and his world,a middle part of the one of the greatest trilogy films ever made in film history"
two words - HELMS DEEP.
this movie is amazing and based off of easily the best book in the series. they stuck true enough to the story and were presented with an awesome result
Wonderfully done! The opening sequence is brilliant! It has the feel of a "middle" movie, but it is so well done. It is not lacking like many "middle" films are in trilogies.
Sam : What we need is a few good taters.
Gollum : What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh?
Sam : Po-tay-toes. Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.
Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) awakens from his dream to continues his journey with Samwise "Sam" Gamgee (Sean Astins). Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck (Dominic Monaghan) & Peregrin "Pippin" Took (Billy Boyd) aided by treebeard (John Rhys-Davies) the oldest of the Ents.
The Two Towers gets bogged down by some extraneous dialogue sequences and some really bad Deus-ex-Machina moments. That aside, it's still a necessary component to a great trilogy.
They're all good, can't say which is my favorite; yes, I'm totally obsessed. The death of Haldir was tragic; as I am overly, perhaps a bit too much, fond of elves, their lands, manners, grace, etc.... And Haldir turned out to be one of my favorite characters, played by the talented actor (Craig Parker) The Battle of Helme's deep; a battle that PJ (Peter Jackson) filmed so well, it sticks in my memories and I can fantasize without having to watch the scene, the part where the elves march in, Haldir hugs Aragorn, and all those poor dead elves. It's not every day a movie has the ability to make me cry, but this one did.

A Fellowship bands together to lend Frodo all that he needs to carry out his mission in this movie the fellowship gets divided and all of fate lies in frodo and sams hands.
I think the creativity that is presented to us in this movie is wondrous. The special effects, the soundtrack, and the takes were arranged into a harmonious masterpiece.
The middle part in Tolkein's epic saga as told through Peter Jackson's vision. The fellowship struggles to survive hordes of monster orcs while the Ring leads Frodo and Sam to Gollum, the one who took it, and wants his precious back.
