The Exodus Decoded (100%)

Plot: The Lost Tomb of Jesus is a documentary which makes a case that the 2,000-year-old "Tomb of the Ten Ossuaries" belonged to the family of Jesus of Nazareth.

I remember all the turmoil created by the release of this documentary and when I saw it, I was really let down. Not only is the supposed finding not that fantastic, but it makes a lot of assumptions for it to be true that are ultimately not explained. If it is the tomb of Jesus, there is no way to prove it anyways, so there is no use in it. And no, I'm not a Catholic or religious at all, I am atheist, so my views on this subject are not biased. Plus, as a documentary, the directing is sloppy as well.

Executive producer James Cameron, archaeologists Dr James Tabor and Simcha Jacobovici went to great lengths to bring this documentary to the public, yet a worldwide system of religions refuses to give recognition to this simple fact: Jesus was A MAN (not the son of 'god') who had a family his wife Mary Magdalene. The Israeli government even displays their intent to cover up the archaeologists' findings in support of the existing myth with which the entire world is accustomed to.
As the 'Tomb of the 10 Ossuaries' was originally excavated in 1980 by an Israeli construction crew, historians and scholars were not informed that the Ossuaries belong to the decaying bodies of Jesus Christ and his family. Recently, it has been statistically and scientifically proven that the 'Talpiot Tomb' was the actual resting place of Jesus, his immediate family and closest disciples.

Whether you are religious or not, you owe it to yourself to see this History Channel documentary, which draws intense skepticism to the 'resurrection' of Jesus of Nazareth.

Two things I'm not too keen on: Jesus and documentaries. Who knew that putting the two together would be so interesting,

The documentary seems to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that Jesus was a man and that he was buried in an ostuary (a small stone bnox made to bones or organs of deceased people) with his family and close friends.

There are certain religious implications I won;t get into since I'm agnostic to begin with and don;t really care aboyut that aspect.

But this documentary is very interesting, and I reccomend it.

This film is excellent, having provoked critical thinking regarding the burial place, resurrection, and familial relations of 'Jesus of Nazareth'.

If you need more information before digging more deeply, read the following 'Toronto Star' article which first publicly reported Simcha Jacobovici's findings. (Feb 26, '07)

Don't allow dogmatic fools drown out your quest for knowledge. Misguided 'faith' is not a substitute for fact-based intellect.
