Wow wow and wow, this is one hell of a movie. Its peter Jackson most mature movie since heavenly creatures. This movie is very hypnotic and very stylish and captures the time period so well. The real bonus are the actors , they are all so good, Saoirse Ronan as Susie is wonderful...( read more)

One of the most highly anticipated films of 2009 turns out to be one of the worst. If truth is beauty and falsity is ugly than The Lovely Bones is a very ugly movie. It's basically a lie, an eye rape calling it self a date. Oh how the mighty have fallen!

I really enjoyed this movie. Beautiful and ethereal albeit story evolves around a sad and horrible murder and it's aftermath.

The whole movie: no. Huge disappointment. Boring and sometimes predictable. But This Mortal Coil's song "Song to the Siren" was lovely almost at the end.
