    Prepare to be amazed. The kind of cinematography that reducing professionals to sobbing children. Oh, and the story and acting's good too.

    After viewing several movies with the theme of faith by Bergman, it seems that I can now see his hidden messages more easily!     great actors - moving, expressive; captivating, deep and intriguing story; twisted structure - all of it with a cynical layer. A disturbing promise of an ending, fading lighter than one would expect.

    I still don't understand why this movie was and still is so underappreciated.

    Good flic. Great soundtrack A bit twilight zone near the end (my favorite part) and I was watching a poor print.

    Intriguing story with compelling characters. In particular, Sydow's role. The horror element is also evident.

    It was at least ten years ago I last saw a Bergman movie and my general impression was that his movies are so deeply depressing. So I rented this movie called Ansikte (which means The Face in English) and started watching it with some prejudices. But those disappear...( read more)ed after 15 minutes. The movie is really entertaining and has a funny undertone. And the end is not at all like the end I suspected from Bergman.
    If you come across this movie try and see it. You'll enjoy it!
