My dad bought me this movie, and I found it pretty enjoyable. It's a good adventure film, with a gorgeous backdrop and lovely setting. Since I love Australia, I really enjoy seeing the area.
My mom LOVES this movie. I tried to like it as much as she does but didn't quite make it. You gotta love the score though; it's just beautiful. And Kirk Douglas is worth seeing in dual roles.
Fantastic. So it's a little corny, but who cares, Jim is smokin' hot!! I kid. Actually he is. Anyway, I love this movie. The scene when he rides the horse down the hill is one that will probably stay in memory forever.
An altogether awesome movie. Film is a primarily visual medium, so it is surprising to me that so few movies attempt to capture truly beautiful shots. In that respect, this movie breaks the mold. It has an incredibly beautiful shot during a chase scene that is totally epic.
An all Australian Classic throught a poem by "Banjo" Patterson comes alive like never before with top performances fom Jack Thompson,Kirk Douglas,Sigrid Thornton & Tom Burlinson as "The Man".This film has been tossed around by many over the years as the most successful Australian films ever made.It is easy not to dispute this in awarding 5 stars The Brumbys in the wild & the chase down the slope at 45 degrees is a shot everyone rembers.
This movie is a family favorite for us. I remember going to the theatre to see it. I was really young. Something happened to the screen and it stopped playing. My Dad got up to try to help them fix it.
