This film was an attempt to draw in fight fans -- lightweight champion Willie Ritchie was starred, as was his vaudeville partner, Betty Marshall. The plot, based on a Saturday Evening Post story by Helen Van Campen, really wasn't much -- the usual melodrama about a mortgage hanging heavily over the girl's home and the hero's attempt to save the day. Since the hero, in this case, is a prize fighter, Ritchie spends a good amount of time training and even dreams about the fight while he's sleeping (as he tosses about in bed, a close-up of boxing gloves is shown, not once but… More
