    the Mask of Zorro is a very fun movie filled with sword fights, adventure, romance and funny scenes. i've seen it so many times because my young brother is addicted to Zorro so whenever he's watching it i sit with him and watch my favorite scenes; i love the song from the soundtr...( read more)ack "I want to spend my lifetime loving you" very much.

    Anthony Hopkins was great as the old Zorro who's retiring and training Antonio Banderas in becoming the new Zorro and of course Antonio fits the character perfectly, Catherine Zeta-Jones did well too as the daughter of Anthony and she looked beautiful and original here. i know that there isn't much of Zorro fans but i actually like the character and his witty ways in fighting his enemies.

    Quite possibly the best role Antonio Banderas has been involved in. Catherine Zeta-Jones give an equally impressive role as Elena. Whereas, Hopkins and Banderas play off eachother with much witt, it's in his love interest in Elena that take the film to new heights. I don't think ...( read more)the film would have been as great if these two actors weren't involved. As evident, in their first duel against eachother where Zorro strips Elena with only his sword. The Mask of Zorro has some great action sequences, but it's in the dialogue that held my interest the most.

    The legend returns, that's right, as Antonio Banderas. I actually enjoyed the setting, the story and the style of the characters and storytelling.

    This is a great update on a classic character Zorro. I liked the old television show and movies when I was a kid. Antonio Banderas was a perfect choice to play Zorro. And Catherine Zeta Jones was also a good choice as the love interest. The film has a great mix of action and humo...( read more)r. Plus with a good story this film is a fun watch. Well worth a watch.

    Plot:
    In early 19th century California the masked swordsman hero Zorro was a champion of the people against the tyranny of Spanish rule, represented by the ruthless Governor Montero. Unfortunately, on the eve of his greatest triumph, the liberation of California, Montero learns of Zorro's secret identity as Don Diego de la Vega and attacks the rebel in his home leaving him imprisoned, his wife dead and his daughter abducted to be claimed as the child of Montero. Twenty years pass, and Montero returns to California intent on a foul plan to bring it under his total control. Upon learning of his return, Don Diego escapes from his long imprisonment and prepares for his revenge. Part of it involves the training of an orphan who helped him as a boy to become his successor. Together, the two must prepare to do battle with Montero and his American henchman to save California and reunite with Diego's lost daughter. So once again, the enemies of freedom and justice in California must fear of the man who leaves the mark of the Z.

    What a great movie.The legendary swackbuckling caped crusader is now reborn for a new generation of audience.Zorro was one of my childhood heroes(I was masked as Zorro once).The Mask of Zorro recovers the spirit of the old cape\sword movies of the 40īs and is full of action,comedy and sensuality.Zorro is back and better than never.

    Antonio Banderas was born to play Zorro.I think no one would play Zorro nicely as Banderas.He is sexy,tough and funny at the same.Banderas belongs the list of Zorro like Douglas Fairbanks and Tyron Powell.Anthony Hopkins was fantastic as the orginal Zorro,Don Diego De la Vega.He was amazing as he usually is but i like more as Hannibal lLecter.Catherine Zeta-Jones was also absolutely stunning and sexy as Elena and i love the chemistry between Ajejandro and Elena is electrifying..

    Martin Campbell s direction was amazing and inspiring aswell that reminds the swashbuckling serials of the 1930 s and 40.Just like with James Bond,Campbell brings Zorro back where he belongs.

    A instant classic of action-adventure,The Mask of Zorro is one of my all time favorite movies and is very entertaining and fun to watch.Welcome back,Zorro.
