The Master of Disguise

Austin Wolff, Bo Derek, Brent Spiner, Cole Sprouse, Dana Carvey

Pistachio Disguisey, a sweet natured Italian waiter at his father Fabbrizio's restaurant, can't figure out why he compulsively mimics his customers and desires to change his appearance. What he doesn'...( read more  read more... )t know yet is that these traits are part of the Disguisey family secret legacy. Fabbrizio has never told his son that he comes from a long line of masters of disguise able to mask themselves as almost anyone or anything by harnessing the great power of "Energico". Such talent makes Fabbrizio the kidnapping target of his former archenemy, Devlin Bowman, a criminal mastermind with a plot to steal the world's most precious treasures. At first Pistachio is not very effective as he attempts to control his inherited power, but soon, with the help of beautiful assistant Jennifer, he's spinning through a manic blur of eccentric characterizations in an attempt to track down Devlin and save his parents.

overall pretty awful, but I'll give it a decent review for Dana Carvey's impression of Robert Shaw alone.

The opening title song keeps telling us "This Is Gonna Be Fun" - maybe they're trying to hypnotize us into thinking it's a good movie. It's not.

Pistachio dons some super corny disguises to get the girl he wants, and outsmart some gangsters led by Brent Spiner (Commander Data of Star Trek: The Next Generation).

I liked the Turtle disguise the most. Everything is so dorky and corny. Smell the cheese and savor it.

Dana Carvey (also known from Wayne's World) plays the Master of Disguise in this movie. He always finds himself mimicing other people and when he finds out that his father has been the master of disguise he decides to follow his father's footsteps. I thought this movie was ok, no...( read more)t very good because it was a little too goofy for my taste.
