For me, this film failed for two big reasons. Firstly, the sad death of Gloria Foster. Secondly, and more importantly, the realisation of Zion being this tribal paradise, full of good looking people, who look far from being repressed, starved or any kind of danger. It also got a ...( read more)little silly, hard to follow and a bit boring towards the end, to the point where I just didn't really care what happened to any of the characters.

Like Star Wars this is interesting purely to see the end of the story but how it gets there I have no idea. The story is such a jumbled mess I lost the plot along time ago. I just enjoyed the amazing imagination and effects on offer. Abit more gun toting and less martial arts is ...( read more)better and like the other two the baddies are so much more fun. A great trilogy but this loses to number two purely cos of that highway sequence.

Never before have I seen a film trilogy just collapse under its own pretenses. It's laughably bad.

I actually enjoyed this film..... BUT what I don't like about it is that there is no way of ever possibly understanding it if you don't know the other two films. That is in my opinion a serious manko.

I thought this Matrix dragged compared to the others. Perhaps I've seen it all before in the first two films of the trilogy.

Still a cool Sci-fi film, but no where near as good as the previous ones, it becomes much too grandiose.
Largely disappointing but if not compared to the previous ones as I said, the disappointment isn't as big and you can appreciate it as a good film.

Everything that has a beginning has an end. Can Zion and the rest of humanity be saved?
