What did I expect from a movie bearing this name? Well, I should have known to expect king Arthur! Michael Vartan was superb though :)

Love Merlin and all those stories that have to do with Camelot?

"Most of what you think you know about Camelot, Gwenhwyfar, Lancelot and the evil sorceress known as Morgaine le Fay, is nothing but lies."

Based on the bestseller by Marion Zimmer Bradley.

I highly recommend you to watch this back to back with Steve Barrons Merlin and Antoine Fuquas King Arthur. ---Id rate this PG 16 though.

I think Ill try to get a copy of the book as well.

A much-abridged, though mostly faithful adaptation of the novel by Marion Zimmer Bradley. A fantastically unique and fresh look at the women in the King Arthur legend. Although the special effects were TV grade, and not all the acting superb, overall it was well-done. It's no substitute for the book, however.

O livro é melhor, essa versão do filme ficou muuito mais wicca (sendo que o original já é absurdamente wicca).

A decent adaptation of Marion Zimmer Bradley's book.

The original novel is a favorite of mine -- Arthurian legend told from the eyes of the women that surround him. (Not as feministic as it sounds, really). Being that this was a made-for-TV-movie, a drastic amount of detail and plot had to be cut, which is to be expected when dealing with a book that large. Nevertheless, it captures a lot of the heart of the story, with pretty good acting and pacing.

Worth a watch for fans, or if it happens to be on TV.

The best King Arthur movie you'll ever see, told from Morgaine's perspective. She is a goddess not the villain she has been portrayed as in past stories

It starts out interestingly enough, but it slows down in the last 90 minutes just when it should be picking up the pace. I haven't read Marion Zimmer Bradley's novel (upon which this was based), but one would think that, in order to adapt an 800-page book properly, they'd have to nearly race through the narrative to incorporate all the necessary elements (a la Lord of the Rings). Unfortunately, this doesn't do that.

An Arthurian drama worthy of a watch. Anyone who has read Bradley's novels will appreciate it. Very pagan in tone.

The perfect movie portraying the legend of King Arthur. I haven't read the book yet, which makes me wonder if it's better than the book, but I do know this movie is amazing.

Femanazism disguised as an "original take on the Arthurian legends". Best part: Loreena McKennitt's music.

This brilliant piece based on the novel by the late Marion Zimmer Bradley shows the view of Morgan Le Fay in what happened during the time of Arthur. Anjelica Huston is brilliant as Viviane. This movie is about the women of Camelot and the choices they make.

This is one of my favorite books of all time and it's a great movie too. And Michael Vartan played Lancelot. It was so good and Angelica Huston was perfect in the movie.
