MCT:July 19, 2008This movie was hilarious. Tom Hanks was the man back in his comedy days. Don't get me wrong - he still is the man, I'm just saying this was great work. The house and all the things that went wrong were hilarious. I guess this is one of Shelley Long's attempts to break away from Cheers. She was good in this but Tom was better. I wasn't a big fan of the ending but the rest was great!

I live in that house. A couple get a once in a lifetime deal on a huge house. If its too good to be true it usually is. The house is a lemon. Everything needs to be fixed. They hire crew to do it. Comedy ensuees. Conflict arises when the wifes ex tries to get her back.

Im living this movie at the moment. My new house has a squirell running around in it, we found our house has a carpenter bee infestation, and there are chipmunks in the basement.

one of the funniest movies in thw whole world. it is soo funny. especially when the bathtub falls thru the floor. tom hanks can play pretty much any character and when he does it he does it well. kudos to tom

I want that house. Its the first Hanks movie I've seen and its one of the best. Well there all the best. But comedy doesn't come much more than this. This house embarrases the cuple to death. Just sit back and enjoy.

I was not a fan of this movie when I was a lad but after seeing it again yesterday (5th Nov) on DVD I have to say that this is just another 80's classic. Very funny at times. The only thing I did not like about it was Alexander Godunov (from Die Hard).

What a funny and insightful film. This is most comedic film that I've ever seen of Tom (besides "Forest Gump"). Shelly Long also had a wonderful part that she performed very good. This is a clasic Tom Hanks film.

Maybe it was underwhelming but the slapstick was great! Shelley Long wasn't as annoying as she usually is.
