Plot:
A horror movie that can appeal to adults and kids. There are some spine-chilling moments in the 'Humegoo' story.
low-budget 80's horror anthology film with creepy stories and great linking segments of Price and Carradine at the "Monster Club" featuring some entertainingly lame "new wave" music - not everyone's cup of tea
RULES OF MONSTERDOM
Vamps suck
Werewolfs hunt
Ghouls tear
Shaddies lick
Maddies yawn
Mocks blow
Shadmocks whistle
i love this film and the book its one of the best books to movies there is alough there is more in the book the three stories they pick for the film were the best ones
Vincent price is a vampire that feed on a writer he admires and then takes him to the monster club to see what monsters are like to explain the diiferent types and so on
the first story is a bout a lonely shadmock who wants to be loved.
the second is a nice story about a young boys vampire father and the b-squad chasing him
the third and scariest in my opinon is about a director who finds a village of ghouls and and half breed humgoo who helps him.
with lots of top 80s actors inc donald pleasance and a fangtansic soundtrack this film is great and one i have loved for many years
Excellent performances by Price, Carradine, and Pleasance. The last story has a great Lovecraft vibe. I dig the soundtrack as well!
John Carradine stars as a horror Story Writer, who is bitten by Vincent Price (vampire) and in return for the blood, Price invites Carradine into the Monster Club to spin some multiple storiese
A trilogy of 3 monsters. A Shadmock who can burn people with a whistle, the son of Count Dracula, and a man caught in a village of ghouls and meets a lovely Humgoo girl. Add Vincent Price and some great tunes in a nightclub for monsters, and you have a hit for any monster movie fan.
a very dated flick with many silly moments rather than scary, but i gotta give it three coz vincent price is his usual self and that extra half star for the suprisingly 3rd and final tale that's actually quite creepy (heightened by alcohol intake... Lol)
a cute movie.
Vincent Price was wonderful as usual.
has an ultra cheesy soundtrack, i must own it!!
