MCT:January 15, 2007This was the first shown in my Post-War German film class - it being the first German film produced after the war ended. As such, it is a very important film. It's a little hard to judge overall, but I thoroughly enjoyed it all the same. I think it was important that a film released at this time sum up the sentiment of the German people at the time and I think it was very successful in that. I thought the directing was very, very interesting as well - a lot of cool shots and angles that I haven't really seen before.
