It does not have the charm of the original Swedish Pippi films. The songs are annoying.

One of my all-time favorites as a child...
"Life is a dream, we live it for fun. No apologies to anyone"

This film adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's tale is pretty good adventure and funny. When I was 13 years old, this time spunky but lovable Pippi is a brat who manages to give me ideas about driving adults over the edge.

You forget how funny old movies are until you watch again. I loved this movie when I was little and still do. Really cute and funny.

Don't remember much about this except that I enjoy the story more when it is written on paper. Lindgren has the way with words which doesn't come forward in movie.

I'm looking for this move every where.. I love it... It's the best Pippi movie i've seen. It's the kind movie you can see nomather waht age you are and still think it's good. It's sad that kids movies like this arn't made anymore.

I thought she was the stuff when I was a kid. I wanted to be her sooo bad. This is still one of my favorite movies. I watch it now, and I still get just as giddy over it as when I did when I was 3.

So that's how Wendy got her start! How cool is that! By the way, I'll take a Dave's Deluxe, with a Frosty, please!

This movie is so naff... but to a 9 year old Anita it was the. best. thing. ever. Sadly, I still know the words to every song in this film. 26 year old Anita is clearly a loser.

This american made pippi is not what i would call a good kids movie, i think that the swedish ones that is dubbed would be 100%better.

Hey! No swedish child has missed Pippi Longstocking! The films are all good! When I see them on weekend-afternoon TV today I am surprised that I still like them so much! These kind of quality films for kids (and childish grown-ups) aren't made anymore!

Who didn't want to be Pippi when they were little?? She seemed to have so many cool adventures, and tying brushes on your shoes to clean the floor just seemed like it would be so much fun. Very sad ending though...I always cry!

I wouldn't mind owning this movie...its kinda awful, but still worth owning because its one of those movies I grew up watching. Its all about nostalgia!

haha, I really liked the old verision that was at my old library. The one made in Sweden with the really bad voice overs. That was a great series. This is decent enough, but I wish I could see the old ones again.
