An Absolutly brilliant adaptation of Alexander McCall Smith's novel of the same name. So well directed, acted and photographed in what was Minghella's last film to date. Watched by over 7 million people here in the UK and I'm sure it'll be the same in other countries.
A wonderful and delightful movie. Very different, but gives a warm feeling when you see it. Recommended indeed.
this is a really calm and sort of everyday things that this lady detective gets to look into, it has a heart and a soul, makes you smile at times, makes you smile at some parts and it was a good watch, the view of parts of africa is breathtaken,
I feel rather happy watching this movie, but at the same time, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. The story seems a little bit obvious, I don't know if the actors are just great or awful and the ending is so... I don't know what to think about it, but it leaves me feeling ...( read more)
