Not a bad movie about a Troijan war hero Odysseus.
The movie seems to be rather true to the myths and manages to fit in a lot of mythology-related content. However despite that it still feels slow in places. There were some really great and intense scenes, like the escape from Scylla and Charibdys, and also the fire-infested scene in the Underworld. In fact the depictions of Scylla and Charybdis in this movie were spot on, although I expected Scylla to be in the midst of an ocean as opposed to inside a cave.
The first few scenes of the movie briefly summarize the Troijan war and even show us some battle scenes. I personally liked that bit.
The acting was rather good across the board. We do get to feel remorse for Odysseus and to understand his pain of being far away from home for so long. Although most of his crew do not get as much screen time, some of them still do form distinct personalities.
Not a bad mythology movie overall. I'd just cut out a few drama bits and stick in more epic stuff, like creatures and battles.
