Vin Diesel, Lauren Graham, Faith Ford

Assigned to protect the five out-of-control children of an assassinated scientist, who had been working on vital government secrets, Shane is suddenly faced with juggling two outrageously incompatible jobs -- fighting the bad guys and keeping house. Replacing his usual arsenal of wetsuits and weapons with diapers and juice boxes, Shane not only must battle a deceptive enemy but wrangle teen rebel Zoe, sullen 14-year-old Seth, eight-year-old Ninja-wanna-be Lulu, as well as three-year-old Peter and baby Tyler -- not to mention their off-beat Romanian Nanny. He's truly a SEAL out of water, and now it's up to this one-time lone warrior to take on the most important mission of his life: keeping a family together.

Hilarious in every way in the tradition of Kindegardon Cop. A wild, wickedly enjoyable and outragious comedy. Cant beat family fun. Vin Diesel brings his action hero talents to physical comedy and has plenty of charisma

A Surprisingly Family First Film. I had low expectations for this film, to which I was pleasantly surprised. The film's strength lies not in its comedy, acting or action but rather in its family orientated message. I am not a Vin Diesel fan, but after this I may have to convert.

When you spend your entire career building yourself up as a hard man how hilarious would it be to star as a hard man but in a soft and gentle kids film? HAHAHA, about as funny as Mr. Nanny and Kindergarden Cop. In all fairness it is slightly funnier and there is an air of 80's do...( read more)dgy nostalgia creeping in. Vin is actually quite good but I only wish the duck had more screentime.

It wasn't that bad that Vin Diesel here, a little bit more 'comedian'. You know, i always love Vin Diesel, he's just so sexy and handsome, with his criminal face look.
And he's very good in this movie.

Blah comedy. full review

Liam Lacey, Globe and Mail

Though [Diesel] has a definite, if somewhat oily, charisma, comedy really isn't his forte. full review

Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

This premise is promising, but somehow the movie never really takes off. full review

Ty Burr, Boston Globe

The movie plays like it was cobbled together from sheetrock and carpet tacks, this makes The Pacifier just worth your children's time, and hardly worth yours. full review

Nick Schager, Slant Magazine

Before parodying your action superstar image, don't you first have to be an action superstar? full review
