I found this a cookie-cutter type of movie. Lonely mom with three kids finds a perfect guy who has to work through various obstacles to find his way to true love, dah-da dah-da. I gave it a half-star bonus for the fact that the movie does work with the actors, but deducted a ha...( read more)lf-star for Queen Latifah and Terrance Howard's redundant roles in it.

This was cute. Great Cast, love Miss Union and whatever you just can't wrong with the Queen and Terrence. The story was not so good and this Movie lacked a little something, but the Cast made up for the overall let down. Still cute for a once around...

Exceedingly pathetic and slapsticky holiday-set rom-com.

Just an ordinary Christmas drama and comedy that deals with family affairs, in particular how it affects the kids.
There was some relatively good acting, but overall it's just a little X-mas movie that should be watched during X-mas time because it has some really silly laughs.

An intriguing movie! Morris Chestnut and Gabrielle Union have such a great on-screen chemistry. This movie is definitely one to watch during the holiday season. Great!

It serves it's purpose as a cute and charming Holiday film. There is romance, laughs, and Christmas magic. Morris Chestnut and Gabrielle Union have never been so likable. The kids are adorable and the oldest son is quite funny throughout the film. It's no more predictable then hi...( read more)gher grossing "This Christmas". People wary of this film might have been expecting too much from a family film. I've seen it with a family and their were laughs and great smiles for Charlie Murphy's rapping and Morris Chestnut's courting. Terrence Howard's appearance were always quite funny his Bah Humbug character was a nice unique add to the story. The supporting actors Faizon Love and Katt Williams guarantee a laugh for anyone willing to give this film a chance. No it's not as heartwarming as "It's a Wonderful Life" or musical as "White Christmas" , but it's found it's very own niche. The movie was like a Christmas story being read. It definitely put me in the holiday spirit.

The Perfect Holiday, as many a holiday movie before it, meticulously goes through the motions, but never quite finds the magic of the season. full review

The cold void of January can't come fast enough if it means an end to releases like The Perfect Holiday. full review

Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

There's not much original about the film, but it's played with high spirits and good cheer, there are lots of musical interludes, and it's pitched straight at families. full review

The Perfect Holiday is so modest and good-natured that its flaws are hardly glaring. full review
