Love this musical as a kid, great film.
Amazing! It left me breathless...and wanting more...
(Can't believe that the phantom was Gerard Butler!)
Tragic unrequited love. How sad. I feel bad for the phantom. Even though half his face is scarred he's still kind a hot.
The fantastic sets, costumes, art direction and cinematography make for a wonderful visual spectacle, even though the songs are not altogether great and Butler is a terrible singer.
Gorgeous and touching film. Love the music, love the casting...Shitmaker got lucky here.
Schumacher da rienda libre a su lado recargado y excesivo en esta peli que yo hubiera preferido mas oscura y gotica. Recomendable solo a los aficionados al musical (7-)
if only i could find my erik, i'd never leave him, i think christine is shallow and an idiot
Its was based on the novel by Gaston Leroux. The Phantom (Gerard Butler) has scarred face with his white mask lives in the watery labyrinths beneath the Opéra Populaire in Paris, France. The beautiful young soprano Christine Daaé (Emmy Rossum) plots to place his protégé at center...( read more)
Great acting but not very solid. The film loses it's starting grace with some of the dialogue and pacing. I liked the cinematography though.
An amazing and delightful remake of a legendary classic. The musical socre is great, the dressing and the setting fit perfectly and artistically fine. Good work.
60/100
After seeing the WestEnd show... THIS IS NOW ONLY 3.5! GERARD BUTLER SUCKS ASS.
The Best Musical I'll Always Remember, Forever.
Also The Best In The World. Better Than Any Musical.
Very impressive! I've always loved the Phantom of the Opera and this movie was just an extension of that. this comes close to the amzment and true magic that the broadway performance had offered. it was a thrilling experience. so much detail was put ...(read more)into this. the s...( read more)
The Phantom of the Opera looks fantastic and it's hard to keep your eyes off the screen but not because it's a good film. I just loved the set design and the look of the film. It's too bad that Joel Schumacher didn't make a Batman film that looked this good. While Emmy Rossum gi...( read more)
Mr. Butler in my favorite musical role lol can't get much better than this!
love the songs in this movie especially the lyrics that goes like this: say you'll share with me one life, one lifetime. lead me, save me from my solitude. say you want me with you here beside you. anywhere you go let me go, too. love me. that's all i ask of you.
Love Phantom Of The Opera, its so sad and tragic. This is my favorite version.
WOW AMO LAS PELIS MUSIKALES Y ESTA ES UN CLASIKO MARAVILLOSO, LA VERSION KE HICIERON ES MI FAVORITA.
I love musicals,so I watched this version of "Phantom of the Opera".It wasn't what I thought it would be,but better. It's worth a watch.
the first time i watched to be honest i get bored.. and i full asleep maybe because of the music. then i watched in the second time. hhmm! not so bad the actors did a good job. Emmy Rossum as Christine is stunning, her voice is amazing and her talent shines through this movie.
"I am your Angel of Music... Come to me, Angel of Music."
Pretty solid film. It does drag here and there between the middle and the end and becomes kind of boring, but it's still a decent movie. The songs are really amazing, so it helps keep you focused. And considering this is ...( read more)

I will never forget this movie. I love the story, the actors and actresses. I love the soundtrack! I would never tired listening to the soundtrack!!!
Good singing especially from Emma Rossum, i havent seen the play so i cant relate it to that but this film was oddly mesmerizing
After the first time I watched this movie I fell in love with it! Emmy Rossum sings beautifully!
The book is a lot better. If you dont look at that - it's Very good.
great music! great acting! a tad over dramatic buts its and opera i should have expected that. lol
many people don't like this film. maybe because it is a Joel Schumacher's film. I've watched the opera and it was amazing. I can't say it is a good movie, but for me it is an entertaining one. It's lack the drama and tension, unlike the opera. But the visual and music deserve cre...( read more)
Entertaining overall with a wonderful Emmy Rossum and some storyline additions that are interesting as well.
I'm not one to leave a film part way through, but I just couldn't keep watching this.
<3 the Phantom!
ahhh....omg i love this movie i know all the words!!!
andrew lloyd webber is an absolute genius. plain and simple. emmy rossum, playing christine, is sumptuous, however, it is her counterpart, gerard butler, who is the real focus of the piece. surprisingly adept at singing, butler makes the hair all over your body stand on end when ...( read more)
